  • Accra vs Nairobi
In this video, we are taking another swipe at Accra and Nairobi-two cities we have previously covered. This time, however, we are pitting them against each other. Nairobi is one of my favourite places worldwide, and I hope to stay as objective as possible.
By most metrics, Accra is not a match for Nairobi. The Kenyan capital is a leader, not only in East Africa but in Africa as a whole. Despite being smaller, it even beats Lagos on so many metrics. From its people, lifestyle, infrastructure, and its appeal to people from all over the world, Nairobi's hospitality, embodied by its humble residents and stands out.
Accra has shown significant progress over the past two decades. Arguably, West Africa's most sought-after destination is another safe haven. It offers stunning condominiums and real estate opportunities, as well as an ever-expanding infrastructure to meet the needs of the influx of people moving into the city. Unlike Nairobi and Kenya, there are no winters in Accra. It is either hot, rainy, or humid, with a rich rainforest that makes up a greater part of Ghana.
Let us know what you think in the comment section.

Accra is best compared to abuja and lagos. None has the features of a modern city. A modern City center must have well tarred roads, tightly lined up with well serviced modern buildings with no walking space between two buildings, designed to be Accomodation apartment for working class , shopping, offices, hotels, dinning, financial services and more Every building in the city center must be accessible by walking pedestrians. No gate, no fencing. Example see the city center of Durban Nairobi Capetown, downtown Manhattan, New York, Paris, Tunis Joburg, port Elizabeth, Praia in Cape Verde , Must have steady power supply, emergency services, stable pipe borne water supply. Nigeria and Ghana don’t have a city that matches these features.🎉 Nigeria and Ghana don’t have a single modern city center

19:02 I have to respectfully disagree with you on the Cedi performing better than Kenya shilling! We all know what the mumu Ghanaians did to their currency in 2007! They literally removed a whooping four digits from their currency coz of the free fall caused by run away inflation! That helped to make the Cedi the highest-denominated currency issued in Africa! But not for long, coz as we speak, the Cedi has already lost 90% of its value 😢
The Kenyan shilling hasn’t undergone any devaluations or artificial manipulation of any sort but has since risen from being the worst performing to the best performing currency in Africa within a few months!

@davincimaths9492 Look, I have been to many african cities, and I'm not disputing the facts that Nairobi has made some strides, Nairobi is just ok, apart from a few areas which are great, most are like anywhere in Africa. Btw Karen is a nice residential area. To me, the standard of living in Accra and Nairobi is basically the same. Accra also has few nice areas, and all are junk likewise Nairobi.

The Easten, Southern, and other regions in africa got their Colonial Masters into plannimg and building building their citizens for them.
Kenya is no expecting of them. GHANA on the other hand dis not get that chance because, when others were relaxed with their masters, Gh was busy pushing them out.
In the western region too, Cote d'ivoire got that chance too. Nigeria got the former capital Lagos planned and built too but Abuja was done by Nigerians.
Before u dispute go and do your search on when your citizens were build.
Ghana build it their own city. Ghana lacks proper planning of the city. It was not planned well
