    I do plan to make some more peyote stitch tutorials in the future, like going into detail on how to make kandi charms out of peyote stitch and stuff like that, but for this video I wanted to just stick to the basic basics.

    Something ive found as well is for even peyote tou can actually just start off without folding the string. Its hard to explain but Ill try my best. If you string on 5 beads, and you go through the 3rd bead and pull it tight it will kind of start you off similar, and you can just keep going

      If you’re doing a very small project with 3-5 rows of beads then you can do a similar thing to what she did and add your bead and then weave to the other side of the row (the bead below the top one) and then go into the top bead and continue! It still uses a lot of string.

    quick question for anyone who might find my comment, the first method for the odd peyote stitch can it be used for a flat pattern like a bag because im going to take on the project of a kandi bag but am intimidated by the odd peyote stitch

  • @strawberry_aves
    @strawberry_aves Před rokem +2

    do you need to start at the middle of the pattern for this? or could you make one end shorter and only use the long end to work from bottom to top?

      i believe you can do both! if it's not a uniform width horizontally though, it's much easier to start at the thickest point and build up and down from there rather than starting thinner and going thicker.

    I cant find 7 mm plastic yarn needles anywhere… can someone tell me where they found them?

    • @TianaOsix-fk5wv
      @TianaOsix-fk5wv Před 10 měsíci +2

      At most crast stores and also the dollar store you can find beginners/childrens cross stitch kits. The ones that are worked on a canvas with yarn. These kits come with the same plastic needles she's using in the video.
