Thank you! Anime songs are not the easiest to arrange for ukulele but it is a lot of fun to figure out how to do it!
Can you make a tutorial on not specifically this song but how you go about composing for ukulele? The melody/vocals seems like you could just learn through sheet music or by ear, but the chord voicings on top of that on almost every note is what I find so crazy. Everything just fitting in so well is phenomenal and creates such a rich sound rather than playing the individual notes of the vocals alone.
Do you start from the chords of the song and somehow put the melody in there (that does seem to be the case for some stuff you do like the pinky extensions on A string) or do you just know what chords go with what note, etc.? A tutorial just demonstrating something like this would be crazy helpful.
I actually have 2 videos about that on my channel. I think it’s titled “How to arrange anime songs on ukulele” and the other is “how to arrange for solo ukulele”. It’s been a while and those videos are a little all over the place but I kind of go through my process on those videos. The solo ukulele one goes over how I create my arrangements and the anime song one is a short example of me actually going through and making the beginning of one of my arrangements.
To put my arranging style simply, I get the chords and melody and stick them together in whichever way possible.
