SPAIN is a jazz song composed by Chick Corea and released back in 1973. Jazz singer Al Jarreau put lyrics into the song, recorded it and sang it in 1980. Gary Valenciano is a very versatile singer : Pop, Gospel and Ballad. In this song, he displayed his vocal prowess blending scat singing, beat boxing and voice percussion all rolled into one. He totally immerses himself into the song, a very difficult song at that and allows you to feel the groove, the phrasing, the timing and gets you in awe with the sound of the various musical instruments of his choosing for the moment. He has 39 albums to his name and is known as MR. PURE ENERGY here in the Philippines. He is also a very good dancer. He is also looked up to by so many younger singers here. This is an Al Jarreau classic, giving lyrics to Chick Corea's original instrumental piece. It's a difficult song but Gary nailed it! His scatting was longer than Al's, though. I wonder if you have heard Angelina Jordan, the winner of Norway's Got Talent 2014, when she was 8. She's now 14 and got the golden buzzer in America's Got Talent - The Champions just recently.

Wannabe, I would recommend working on scales that start directly from the high notes and come down into your chest. That way you can focus on making that transition as smooth as possible.

I understand what you mean about the sounds and the volume, but it is a radio show. It has post production and sound editing just like all radio broadcasts in a regular radio station. The only difference is it moves haha. 😅 The good thing about it is that it does feature the artists live so they can still be spontaneous and add some things to the song rather than the regular radio stations where the DJ just plays the song for you. The Wish bus has DJs too, though. 😁

I don’t know what they do exactly. I’m guessing they play the songs when there aren’t any features. It’s a radio station so I don’t think it has live artists all the time. Haha! That would get expensive. 🤣
