  • Christian Horner ensures that Max Verstappen will continue at Red Bull
    -----------
Christian Horner has made it clear that Max Verstappen will remain part of Red Bull F1. In an attempt to calm speculation about a possible exit clause following Adrian Newey's departure, the Austrian team boss wanted to nip those rumors in the bud, stating that there is no such clause.
"You report those rumors every week, but he is still here. Look, Max is very happy in the team, he has a wonderful group of engineers around him, he has a great car, he's in the best car on the grid, he's driving in the best shape of his life," the Red Bull boss said.
Despite the rumors that have been circulating, Verstappen remains with the team and leads the drivers' championship. Horner stressed Verstappen's happiness at the team and denied the existence of clauses tying him to Newey.
"No. I mean Max's contract is obviously always going to be confidential, but there are no clauses about Adrian, tying the engineer in any way to Max."
"They have enjoyed a good relationship over the years, as have our previous drivers, but Max Verstappen also understands that there has been a planning process for that and it's not just a knee-jerk, so the structure is not going to change even if Adrian takes a step back," concluded Christian Horner.
This is how the Red Bull boss wanted to make clear what the future holds for the three-time world champion, who above all, knows that he has the best car on the current grid and a conglomerate of people who know what it is to win in Formula 1 as much as he does.
Horner has stressed that Verstappen understands the changes in the team structure and will continue to compete with a competent group. In short, it has been confirmed that Verstappen will remain at Red Bull, confident in the team and its position in Formula 1.
