Thanks for sharing. Back in the 1948 flood my great-grandparents lived off Clayburn Road right there. The water went up to the first floor windows.
@Marshall Dre Oh yes...1948 and then in 1894 this region was flooded. During the Great Depression my mother's family owned most of this land but had it taken when the bank called-in the loans, this is happening again now as banks jack-up rates and take lands in the flood zone again..
You are getting some excellent footage of this disaster, stay safe
Thanks man, I thought of you as I made my way through spots that looked like appocalypse zones. Feel free to use any of it for your channel!
Wow we recently moved from there this summer lived off delair for long time hope and pray everything is going to be ok
Thank you for all your updates.
All the "Well"s and Septic are now done People that dont use these don t under stand how costly it is to replace and get clean water again. Just so sad
Thanks for taking the time to post.
Anyway you can do some footage of mnt woodside in aggasiz? Place is brutal for accidents.
I was buzzed up while watching this, so the sound effects were really messing with me. Nice shots though man! Lord, mercy on those poor people! Amen!
You built your towns on Dried out lake beds... never upgraded any flood mitigation infrastructure, or even the 100 year old pumphouses .... all enjoyed.. living on the fertile land by the river... It flooded like this in the 40's I believe, and in 1990ish again... but they never learned, or invested in improving. That's the way I see it... The B.C. Way... it's always sunny.. until it rains.
Used to ride all those roads before leaving Vancouver after the Olympics … knew that this was going to happen with the rapid expansion and little infrastructure…. Yes I was in the trades folks
This is happeninhg because of 0 (zero) maintenace done on the Sumas River "levee".

I don't think I saw the village at all. How's the candy store and old schoolhouse?
Heyyyy.
Fly over to the damaged section of 11 and give a close up
Any footage on the Tiger Dam across the highway?
Is that the Lepps parking lot!? So lucky they didn't get wet!!!
Why doesn’t the Canada Government open the border at Washington State and let the American people help their neighbors and friends and families? NOW!! Not next year
There’s nothing they can do and you have the armed forces on the ground there.
There is a NOTAM in that area prohibiting all drone flights due to the flood.
Thank goodness those homes are on high ground!
This would be better without all the fake sound effects.
Is this the new skating area expansion?
Fantastic footage. This disaster shows how bad the climate change is and how fast things can happen. I feel so bad for the people that lost their homes, and farms under water 💧. I hope they get the break they need to start rebuilding the roads and pumping the water out. They need to install the huge metal tanks underground to collect excess water like we have here. That helps prevent flooding. Have a great day my friend and please stay safe and well.
It's NOT "Climate change"... this happened in 1894... then again in 1948, then again in 1990... It's a lack of Govt. doing anything in flood mitigation. They just cross their fingers and hope it does not happen again. They are living on a dried lake bed... with no major flood control at all... the pumphouses that keep the water lever down are 100 years old...
@@kevinkarbonik2928 I was using what happened as what could happen with climate change. The east coast was also hit hard, with roads and bridges washed out. Other countries have also been hit hard with flooding over the past year. Have a good day 😊.
where the heck is this
