Good information
Thank you. Hope it helps!
Very good info , thanks! 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for these insight info. My wife just got approved on our case for the AOS and getting our green card soon.
My question is that once she gets a green card, can she apply to work asap for a job ?
And if we do decide to live in another state? Such as California I’m assuming we have to update the uscis and do a change of address ..correct ??
My case is approved and asked to do biometrics which I already done a year ago in the uscis local office!! What should be done in this case?
I won the green card and paid the fee on January 22 (147 days ago). I entered the country on April 12, but I still haven't received my green card.
Thank you for your information. I am 68 years old. I came to USA 4 years ago through my son (a USA citizen). Since then I have been on my own because my son did not comply with the sponsorship. I have worked temporarily and filing the taxes. My question is : can I get any other help from the government since at my age is really difficult to keep working ???
The 180 days outside of the US. Is this in one trip or its days over the last 365 days! My husband and I are in the process of getting the green card, we are at the final step!! He’s a pilot and his employment will potentially require him to leave the US in and out for operating flights. Are those days as in duty count as day outside of US ? Thank you!
Getting it tmr
Thanks for the great information always
My pleasure!
Please do you attend to asylum cases
Hi! Great video, well informed nicely presented. I recently received my green card as part of NIW EB2 program. I was a PhD student with F1 visa. I would like to know as a PhD student what restrictions do I have as a GC holder? As a PhD student I was not allowed to work more than 20 hours, can I work more than that? Does it depend on school? Or is there any legal barrier that I have to work 20 hrs still? Thanks.
Hello! If you are a GC holder you have no restrictions to work. The restrictions ar based on ir VISA TYPE, not in your education program. So a F1 have work restrictions, a GC holder doesn’t. 😊
In case of losing the card, what should I do ?
☑️We are waiting for the decision of the Court of Appeal on Lottery 2021, will the decision be prolonged?
Hi, thank you for all your information. My husband and I are both Canadian citizens we relocated to the US to work and both have a green card but we separated about 11 years ago have to be together by 25 yearsI went back to Canada. . We recently decided we want to get back together my green card is not expired but how do I go about getting myself legally back into the United States back with my husband in Texas as still living there?
If I have a green card and I start to claim my social security pension at 62 and this is my only income do I need to actually file taxes? As it’s not earned income and I think I can actually earn under 13K before requiring to file taxes?
I got my green card!!!
I’m gonna update my LinkedIn and apply for in-state tuition 😂
There's one thing wrong here that I noticed:
You can naturalize after 3 years if you got your green card via VAWA (spouse/child of USC, or spouse/child of LPR who was since naturalized) or if you are married to a US Citizen and:
1. It's been at least 3 years since the date of your marriage.
2. It's been at least 3 years since your spouse became a US Citizen.
3. You've been an LPR for at least 3 years (as per resident since date since asylees get backdated a year from I-485 approval, refugees get backdated to date of entry into US).
How you originally got the green card doesn't matter otherwise. You could for example be an F-4 derivative child (F43/F48) marry a US citizen a month after your entry/adjustment and be able to naturalize 3 years after your marriage date since that's the last one.
Otherwise yeah 5 years.
If wife gets green card on marrying a man who is green card holder but not a citizen, then can she apply for citizenship and after how much time ????
Good evening I have married a us citizen and she fills for me for the past two years on approved what am I supposed to do
How does an i130 upgrade for my spouse who lives in my home country in Africa. I filed as LPR a year ago. will upgrading speed it up.
Absolutely
How long does the green card?
I need more advice.plz.
Are there any exceptions that may allow a Permanent Resident to avoid deportation for an arrest of Aggravated Assault? For example, if the individual had a documented mental condition or breakdown at the time he committedbthe crime & had never been arrested before & lived in the USA (with permanent resident status 30 years) as a productive member of society who even worked in law enforcement?
Also if 1 of 2 foreign born biological parents (Mother) was Naturalized in 1992 & the aforememtiomed was a 12 year child would he have automatically became a U.S. Citizen or would the second parent (father) who became a Naturalized citizen when their son was over 18 still be considered a Permanent Resident?
Can you have a green card and a Canadian pr

I have been told a certain rule has changed. It’s my understanding a green card holder has to keep residency in the USA for at least 6 months and 1 day. Every year for 5 years Or loose it. Someone told me it changed.

I was deported in 2016 for overstaying my visa. My daughter sponsor for me, at the interview I was told that I have to get a waiver. I applied for the waiver about ten months ago. Can you tell me the approximate waiting time and what comes after.
Hi. I hope you can read my commment. Me and my husband got separated (not legally we are technically married in papers only part ways for 10 yrs) after for so many we want to get back together - he is in US Im in other country and he wants to petition me ir1 visa. We have a disabled son (he acquired his us citizenship last year)- is it possible to file ir1 visa but we dont have pictures to show for the past 10yrs and i have filed a case against him (child support 2 yrs ago here in 🇵🇭) will this be a complicated case please help.. btw he filed my visa before but it expired last 2016
It is not correct that the 3 year versus 5 year waiting period before filing for naturalization depends on how you obtained your green card. One could obtain a green card via employment, and if that person is married to a U.S. citizen, he/she would only need to wait 3 years until naturalization.
I want to travel so bad I have grandchildren born in my country that I don’t meet as yet and I want my green card so bad to go meet them sad indeed 🙏
After I got my 2 years green card I should fill my tax with my husband right ?
Yea it’s highly recommended! Remember, after receiving the 2 year conditional greencard, you will still have to produce evidence that you are still in a bone fide marriage when applying to remove the conditions on form I-751.
With that said, you still need to accumulate evidence that all is well in your marriage -basically the updated versions of the same evidence you submitted for the first green card and ofcourse, anything else that comes up between those two events.
