this season feels like chapter 1, TONS of named locations so even in ranked you can land and be sometimes uncontested at a named location which is so nice for looting
My favourite has been Sandy Steppes(Hope’s house). 5 potential avengers chests, potential doom chest right outside the main house. Next to cactus too. Mostly rotate towards the shockwave npc, who I usually don’t buy shocks but will sometimes buy the purple sovereign from him. Also depending on the bus route, the house may not have been looted, which has the weapon cases. Then can third party The Raft if you want to, and also next to a radio tower. Most spots are good this season though to be honest.
I 100% agree this it became my landing spot because of Clix and then I really liked it so I just kept going there but zero build all day unlike Clix because I suck at building lol 😂
Don't listen to Jake..... Brawler's is awful.... Don't ever go there.... I've been landing there since the start of S4 and it is terrible. There's no reason to land there and mess with my early game looting. Trust me.😅😅

Center of the map and is close proximity to The Raft and Grime Gate. 2) The House where Rust is located. Again, a stone throw's away from The Raft and it has the weapon cases in the basement. 3) Nitro Drome. With it being abandoned, my frames and ping isn't going haywire with the lights and fireworks. It has decent loot, too.
Can we get a video on how to fight around shield bubbles? I frequently lose shield bubble fights, whether I'm the one using them or pushing someone using them
I like going to the Underworld, I can see some avenger chest spawns before I land so I know if they're there or not, teleport water makes it easy to loot the place fast, doom chest nearby, I have good luck finding cars if I want to rotate out without a jetpack, and the artemis npc is also nearby. Not that hard to push to the raft or Doomstatd also and artemis pinging people as you go into those places helps a lot
I still love classy court/doom's court, or the mountain building above that used to have a vault in it. There's still tons of loot, especially in just the main building of the court. It's a lot more contested this season than the last two of course, but it's a perfect distance for 3rd partying Doom's castle.
I noticed the consistency of avenger chest spawns at named POIs, and I do like the ability to just pick a spot and that spot be just as good as any other named POIs so that I don’t have to spend a while scouting a spot. At this point all you have to do is choose a POI near a medallion, forecast tower, weapon bunker, etc, and you’re set.
I like the place with all the shipping containers and the Ruckus NPC at the right side of the bottom of the map, the campsite above the choral chorus cave , and the beach houses . All three have good loot and are near forecast towers
I have been landing Rebel, Glacier, and Reels because of the new chests, but based on comments below, I'm going to try Sandy Steppes to rotate toward the Raft. I hate fighting in the Raft, but the medallion is my favorite.
At Elite/Champion rank, if you want to be a sweaty boy, land at Restored Reels. 8-12 sweaty boys every match. And the moment you shoot one, they squirm quick AF, jump in a car, and fly across the map.....
Me personally, there's two locations I'll land: the Nitrodrome POI and the Zenith Wall landmark. Nitrodrome, I count about a total of 5 Avengers/Doom chests and I think at one point I mistakenly counted 6. Aside from it, the Zenith Wall landmark has some good loot overall, basically has a total of 12 chests if they all spawn (7 at the plane crash, 2 on top of the glacier near the edge, and 3 inside the house near the crash site.)
My three favorite places to go this season are: 1) Castle Doom (I know where every avanger and doom chests are, and the doom gauntlets are the most underrated item this season, I bully people every game with it) 2) Grim Gate (I also know every chest there and very close to the Raft to get the medallion after I loot here) 3) Mount Olympus (when I just wanna chill, good loot, not a lot pf people) 4) Restored Reels (when I wanna get high kill games because it is in the center of everything)
I have been landing at the Artemis spawn between grim gate and the underworld. Sonar ability without giving away your general location unlike the rift medallion. Pubstomp with assistance lol.
I also prefer Artemis since she actually marks containers as well as enemies. Makes looting avenger/doom chests faster. Rift medallion ONLY scans for enemies.
For some reason no one lands at Restored this season (in my experience anyway). Great low key loot spot. Of course I still love The Raft, but now everyone camps the boss. I got quadruple ambushed in a recent game. Was tired of getting ambushed while ambushing another player, so I waited to ambush the guy who ambushed the ambusher. And I got ambushed. No joke!
I like the underworld. I do it solo but also play duo with my daughter. I have the option to get Artemis for the tracking capability if I want (which I like if the bus is a far drop). Then there are 6 avenger chests if you finish on the back. I then go south to see if the bunker is going to open or go straight to from where there are 5 more avenger chests if I/we don’t both have jet packs. It’s easy from here to go to the raft or see where that medallion is into the radar tower that is northwest of the raft and there is usually that bunker there 2. If you loot fast enough, u can usually beat the storm.
Recently been landing at Artemis, getting the Epic AR and hiring her, hitting the slurp truck and jumping in one of two cars that spawn close by, from there it’s either grim gate or the Raft with a slight advantage of the scan perk and a decent load out.
I’ve been loving. Doom’s courtyard. Yes it only has two Doom chests, but they are guaranteed. It also has a bunch of regular chests (great for a solo or duo runs). It’s usually not contested (lightly contested if the bus flies over it) and it’s super close to both Doomstadt and Castle Doom. Oh and there is usually has a car or two pus the cabin nearby with the war machine NPC has a vending machine with big pots. Check it out if you haven’t already!
Brawlers is my favorite, but it’s super crowded now. Really good play is land on the hill above where the jump pad is located. Two chests and two slurp barrels, plus a chance there is a doctor doom chest right below. If things get hot and you need to bail, you can jump toward the mountain or jump down to Brawlers and clean up. Hope this helps. Red
Another good spot is the little island behind Dr Doom’s castle. There are like 5 chests there and you can use a zip line and then a port potty to get to the backside entrance. Everything is in front of you now. I’ve caught players fighting the guards and take them out easily. Grab the medallion and get out quick because it’s hard to get across this poi without a Jetpack.
Also, there is green water if we both don’t have mobility to quickly get to grim directly or a car to move to grim or the raft, depending on our initial loot. We prioritize the jet pack for both of us.
Insightful video. Restored Reels seems underrated, considering you're likely to get Avengers chest, grab some dashes and head to the Raft. For players like me who struggle with awareness and combat, that might not be an optimal solution. If you don't have a jetpack, you're profoundly cooked lol.
The train station is a pretty decent place to land, between both sections you have about 6/8 chests, plenty of consumables usually and a bunker right next to it
100% brawlers is the best spot. I loot Brawlers then launch pad to Olympy us usually. The near Olympus is a bunker, good timing for maxxing ideal loadout and then hubting medallions
Personally I love landing on the ice mountan that has the tents and if u take the zipline down to a small building full of slurp barrels to get full sheild. Then go to the porta potty down to the secret cave. Plus tons of bots land arround that area so free kills
Rebels roost is pretty meh if it's contested because it can be so ratty. Grand glacier has a more open interior and has a easy bail option with that smaller hotel building to the northeast (I think) if you feel you will be at a disadvantage off the drop.
i like to land on restored right on of the avengers chests and hopefully get a jetpack which ill use to quickly rotate towards the other avengers chests and then thirdparty any fights going on or if if ite not contested i open most of the chests and quickly rift or take the car to nitrodrome and open the 3 avengers chests there

I’ve heard Jake say in multiple videos that regular chest can get Marvel items. But I’ve yet to get one unless I went to a marvel chest. Am I the only one or am I doing anything wrong.?? lol.
Quick one I like to suggest. If you're finding yourself aiming left to right then back left your sensitivity is too high. If you're having trouble when you ads and can't track fast enough your sense is too low. Hope this helps

Since last season I've been landing at restored reels. Idk i usually land centrally, ik the spawns of chests, good chance of marvel chests. Just a decent place to land
i always land raft i memorized every doom and avenger chest spawn i grab the medallion and mythic and by then theres usually 2 vaults that open close to me

I am kinda starting to hate the JetPack. This item is so necessary its impossible to not take it, but it also takes the slot spot and fighting someone flying around with JetPack is so annoying.
Really missing a decent long range option in this chapter. Im finding fortnite is less of a FPS game and more about cheesy gimmicks as time goes by, there are far too many spammy items right now and the loot pool is not well rounded. As a casual who maybe just plays a game or two every day im just getting roasted by sweats who arent even carrying a gun as soon as you clear out the bots and get down to the last 10 or 15, just switching between doom, war machine and captain america weapons and spamming me to death.😂😂
We need a dmr or sniper rifle in game. Would be nice to have a counter to all these rockets 🚀 that can fly all the way across the map. You put up a port a bunker or a build. Abother player rockets your build/ port a bubker from over 280 meters away.. An theres no guns that can counter them. Other then another rocket 🚀.. Cant shoot at them from that far away. Cant efficiently take out walls on their build or port a bunker from that far away. Oh but they can take out your build stuff easily with rockets 🚀.. from that far away. Not balanced.

Same. Sandy Steppes is not a contested POI and you get a ton of loot fast without being haunted right at the start like you are at those new POI's.

One of my favorite spots to land at throughout Chapter 5 has been Rebel's Roost; was wondering what it was suddenly so popular as of late.

I love rebels roost. I can full loot up with a solid load out in less than 2 minutes

Hey Jake, the avengers and doom chests outlined in yellow on FortniteGG are 100% spawn chests. Same with any normal or rare chests outlined in yellow.
Castle Doom and The Raft both have 6 Doom chests, which will always spawn and 4 Avenger chests

I personally land research rock, and rotate to either Olympus or brawlers plus there’s a chance for a doom chest and a bunker
I land grand glacier a lot and won multiple games, it's the best spot to land in my opinion

Rebels Roost! It’s close to the green water boosts, saved me many times. By the time I get good at jet pack it’ll be vaulted! 😁

It’s a volume thing, how many chests are you looting at the start of the game, if you open 20 you may get a jetpack
