  • The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, loves, wars and all the struggle.
    Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
    Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
    Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
    Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
    Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
    Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

      No..not just a slave....she was the first women of Suleiman, his first chief consort, the Hasiki sultan, mother of the eldest prince of the dynasty therefore she was the second of the position in haram after valide sultan. Unfaithful Suleiman cheated and ignored her after becoming the Sultan and ascending the throne and later gave the Hasiki tittle to Hurrem or lets say Hurrem was smart enough to seize it from Mahidevran.

    • @kokos1209
      @kokos1209 Před 4 lety +68

      @@slnjaiswal Uh not, not exactly. The only problem with this show is that it's historically wrong on many segments, even if it's greatly entertaining. Here's the historical fact: Mahidevran Hatun was not and could not possibly be a Haseki Sultana, because the title 'Haseki' was created by Sultan Suleyman especially for Hurrem Sultana. Before Hurrem became the Haseki Sultana, that title did not exist. The Haseki Sultana means the woman who is legally and officially married to a Sultan, and Hurrem was the first ever concubine to actually marry an Ottoman Sultan. And also, Mahidevran has never officially held the title Sultana, her name is written like 'Mahidevran Hatun' everywhere in the old documents and 'Hatun' means lady. Also, before Hurrem became Haseki, and after she gave birth to the prince, she and Mahidevran were completely equal in status. They were both slaves (and a concubine remains slave until the Sultan frees her, and Suleyman never freed Mahidevran but did free Hurrem later) and both gave birth to a prince. In Ottoman Empire it wasn't about the firstborn prince, it was about the prince who will success the throne. If princes are of similar age, they would fight for the throne after (or even before in some cases) their father dies. It didn't matter if you are the firstborn prince, you couldn't success the throne if your brother kills you. If you fight your brothers and win, you show your competence to rule and be the next Sultan.
      I hope this helps. (I study history)

So, if you're asking why people would lie...because they want to?
      Regardless, there are two reasons to make this highly unlikely, the first being that there are no marks in the privy purse registers of a daughter being born to the sultan around this time. The only mark we see in the registers is the recorded death of a princess in 1521 and, from then on, there are no other princesses mentioned outside of Mihrimah. The second hint is how Mahidevran is listed in these registrars as only the mother of Mustafa and has a lower daily stipend then the other women in Suleiman's princely harem who had given birth to his older sons. She used Nigar and her daughter when Nigar was the one who helped Alexandra the most to became Hurrem. She even burns Gulnihal face now don't say this Gulnihal betrayed her there was nothing like betrayal because Gulnihal was Suleiman's slave not Hurrem's and she has the full right to go in Suleiman's chamber. Hurrem unjustly dismissed a slave girl without any investigation who was blamed by Mihrimah to broke her crown and there was many more like this. So no one was angel in the palace specially Hurrem.

      I would have never been in her place first of all and second thing with revenge in return one only get revenge and hatred. Greed for power and position destroys everybody. And if I would have been in suleimans place even if I would have been attracted to other lady would have never ignored my first wife and mother of my child. And referreing hurrems nature she was the one who sparked the idea of stealing her husband as she discussed in the very episode. And being a loyal wife every woman is concerned about losing their husband specially if there are women around who are willingly ready to lay down with the king for the never ending greed of becoming the chief consort and also securing their position in future if they bear a prince. Guess u r not aware with the staring episodes. First do some home work and then go a debate you silly woman. And btw what would you do if you find out that your husband was sleeping around with another woman bearing children with her and ignoring you and your child. Then you would realise. May be it is ok for you to give away your husband for another women. But in our culture and religion it is unacceptable we consider such woman as witches and would rather slay them if they dare to look into our husband

This is karma she had to suffer because she was a sinner. Get it. Had it been about revenge then she should have conspired to slay the king who was responsible for the loss of her family and fiance. But after seeing the palace and the wealth she easily forgot everything. But this was not for love but for the never ending greed she had within her.
