What is the "essential" reason it's important to walk a few steps forward before remounting- esp if its a ?lady riding class"? I'm sure there's something I'm not thinking of. Thank you.
I’m a western rider, and have been for the past 4-5 years and I’ve just started doing English, cause- why not? I was told to dismount on the right side to get used to dismounting on left to right and of course I’m not used to it, and dismounting in English is different- so my dumb self nearly broke an ankle cause I had my foot in the stirrup. I’m so embarrassed- 🤦🏼♀️
Oh no, it is all a learning experience! What a champion giving it a go. The differences between Western & English are almost as fascinating as the similarities. Hope the ankle gets better :)
