    Finally, a video on an opening that i really wanted to learn more about. For some reason, after e4 d6, my opponent plays either Nf3 or f4, but anyway, thanks a lot, hope too see more

    2:07 now that's my doubt developed since ages and unresolved till the date. Instead of Be7 , I've faced white pushing the e pawn forward and after I take it with the d pawn , he takes it with the other pawn and kicks my knight. As a result , the fortress formed near the king , begins to collapse.

      You play ng4 , the move e5 is bad as it over extends and after you move your knight to g4 your knight and bishop on g7 attack it and continue to pressure it by moves like nc6

    sacrifice queen by placing it to f2 dark square , now black has two options one is to capture by knight and another is to capture by bishop , it doesn't matter by what black captures, if knight then knight e3 is mate, if bishop then knight h2 is checkmate

    solution is Qf2+ if Nxf2 its smothered mate on e3 and if bishop takes then again smothered mate but on h2

    Tbf, Hikaru himself said that he doesn't recommend hypermodern defenses for beginners because it requires "lots of maneuvering", but that's just his opinion. Still, great video btw.
