For anybody that’s confused, can you genuinely worship God in a traditional setting? Yes.
But for the original creator to throw a “ 💔 “ over contemporary worship is not only useless, it’s exactly what Paul preached against in regards to sectarianism.
“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.”

Sacred Scripture clearly teaches doctrines some of which that are rituals that the church is supposed to do. For example the baptism, marriage, the Eucharist, anointing of the sick are just a few. Worship does not have anything to do with emotion. Not say it’s bad. Just saying it’s not necessary. Look at how the Israelites worshiped God at Mount Sinai. There is a difference in glorifying God and actual Worship. Respectfully there is no worship in evangelical Christianity.

@kapchatfield I saw a video today that rocked me. I dont know if it's true. It ringed true. But in Pennsylvania, close to where I live, I forget where, a school last year that was hosting drag queen shows are now having concerts for God. With a song saying the enemy thought he had me, but Jesus said I belong to him. Could you see if this is true? Might be great talking points for you if you can find it. Idk how to link it and not sure I can find it again. Maybe you can.

I am a catholic altar server and communion is not a man-made motion, and not a tradition. THAT is the works of God... Communion is where we do what Jesus mainly did at the last supper. The Catholic church has been doing this for thousands of years. The Eucharist is the body of Jesus. If you ever come to a catholic mass, you will see us worshipping. You will see us singing, and you will see us having a strong relationship with God. Every time I receive the Eucharist, I feel so close to God. Every time I enter the church, I feel so loved and I feel closer than ever to Jesus. Even after mass and through each day, I still feel so loved and so close to God. I love God SO much. I can’t even describe in words how much I love him. Receiving the Eucharist and blood of Jesus is the closest you can be to him. Jesus said: "Unless you eat my body and drink my blood, there is no life within you.". The Roman Catholic Church is the true church of God. Yet we don't worship, or have a relationship with God?
Edit: You guys, can we please stop arguing about this? Everyone can have different opinions but we should not be fighting about who’s right and wrong. You guys can have your opinion about the Catholic Church but you don’t need to post it here.

The name Peter comes from the Koine Greek, and means "Stone, Rock". Jesus gave Simon the name Peter, and on that STONE he founded his Church. One church and not 100 different churches, with as many different doctrines. At that moment Jesus was speaking only with Peter, not with the crowd, not with all the Apostles precisely because he recognizes a more authoritative figure in him, in fact he only gives him the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. In John 21:15-19, why did Christ ask Peter only to "feed his sheep" and not everyone? Because he sees in him the shepherd of souls, the first Pope of the Holy Roman Apostolic Church - Catholic because universal. Holy because the author is a Saint. Apostolic because it originates from the Apostles. Do the other "churches" and sects fall under these 3 conditions? No.
Mark 13:5-7. The Vineyard of Our Lord Christ Jesus was founded in 33 AD. The Waldensians in 1184, the Lutherans in 1517, the Geovites in 1870 and the Pentecostals in 1901 -- If you think that it is enough to be "Christian" and follow the teachings of Jesus thinking that one does not necessarily have to be Catholic, you are highly mistaken. How do you follow the teachings of Jesus Christ if you have a Bible corrupted and deprived by Luther of very important texts? Your own Bible is modified -- And I remind you, again, that Christians were not born from the bible, but the Bible was born from Christians, specifically from the CATHOLIC Church. As St. Paul said: "If even an angel announces to you a Gospel other than the one that has been given to you, let him be anathema." You Protestants with Martin Luther the Porcus Saxoniae in the sixteenth century directly ripped off the books, when the Church Fathers centuries before spoke and accepted them. No, I'm sorry to take the ham out of your eyes sister, but being "Christian" and "Believing" is not enough to be saved, Works and Sacraments are indispensable, you do not believe in Works and you cannot administer the Sacraments, of which all 7 are even the very important ones (John 6:53-54).
The Church was built on the Chair of Peter. Anyone who eats Lamb outside this House is a profane. If anyone is not in Noah's ark, he will perish in the flood. Outside the ark there is flood and death; outside the Church there is damnation. Only the Catholic Church holds true worship. In it the source of truth, the domicile of faith. God's temple; In it if someone does not enter or leave it as in your case, he has no hope of life or salvation. You can get honor, you can get sacraments, you can belt out "Hallelujah," answer "Amen," hold the gospel, believe, and preach in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but nowhere but in the Catholic Church will you be able to find salvation. Anyone who turns away from the Holy Sheepfold is doomed to divine wrath. Let no one deceive himself. These are thoughts of Saints like Jerome, Lactantius, Augustine, Origen, Cyprian.. Now let's take a brief look at Luther's "virtues":
"I do not admit that my doctrine can be judged by anyone, not even by the Angels." // "These idiotic donkeys (Catholics) know only the temptations of the flesh. (...). In reality, the remedy for these temptations is easy: there are still women and young girls" // "If the wife neglects the her (sexual) duty, the temporal authority must compel her, or else put her to death" // "The reason I drink so much harder, talk so much more licentiously, revel so much more frequently, is to get the devil around who wanted to tease me" // "He who does not oppose the papacy with all his heart cannot achieve eternal happiness!"
Luther one day, replying to his mother who had asked him if she too should change religion, said: "No, stay Catholic, because I don't want to deceive or betray my mother!" (This document is kept in the Library of the Dominican Convent of Santa Maria of Minerva in Rome) Luther, in addition to having killed one of his companions in a duel, committed suicide because he thought and said he was oppressed by the devil and did not believe that Jesus could forgive him after what he had done. Do you notice a certain resemblance to Judas Iscariot by any chance?
The apple never falls far from the tree. Ye Protestants sprung from him, a man who stirred up the ignorant peasants against the Clergy, to bring division and discord into the Body of Christ! Son of Satan. Repent ✝

The Eucharist was instituted by Jesus during the last supper where he also celebrated the first Mass with his apostles and the reason it’s still celebrated today is because it’s a Perpetual memorial of his life ,death and resurrection. It’s not a man made tradition.

From there it mixed with paganism and worhip of idols. Then over the centuries it went down the hill as we know from history, in medieval times the catholic church commited monstrosities with the blessing of the popes.

For clarification, Catholicism does say that the most important thing is a relationship with God. And this sacrifice of the Eucharist was instated by Jesus (John 6, I recommend Fr. Mike Schmidt’s talk on it) and the religious traditions by the Catholic Church were practiced by early Christians including the apostles. The Mass is actually a mirror of the gospels themselves, deeply entrenched in the word of God and the preachings of Jesus. As a Catholic who fell away in high school and came back to faith in a Protestant church in college I think there is an extreme disconnect between Protestantism and Catholicism and if we can’t have the compassion to hear each other out and understand how God’s word impacts both of our practices of faith, then God forbid there’s something wrong with our family of God.

I am Catholic and recommend you to consider Catholicism. At least some of the classical Protestant churches which contain the Sacraments like Anglicanism or Lutheranism. There is no way person can study the Scriptures and the Fathers and be an evangelical.

I’d much rather have contemplative ritual than emotional chaos.

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen."
Church is not needed, your relationship and love for god is, find him & follow him, he will never lead you astray.
