Changing the 2 Transmission Drive Belts: John Deere E100

  • In this video I show how to replace the two transmission drive belts on the John Deere E100. They made it a bit more difficult than average to gain access to them, but it's not really very hard.
    I recommend getting the parts from JD directly. The aftermarket belts are sometimes not as good.
    Long belt: 98.1" x 1/2": GX24154
    Transmission Variator V-Belt: AUC13704

    GEEZ!! I think I'll keep my 2007 Craftsman 2000. It took me about 1/2 hour to change the drive and deck belts without having to dis-assemble half the machine. Horrible design on that John Deere. Good video though.

      Yes you're absolutely right. Sometimes I will take off the body just for filming purposes, but in this case it needed to come off to get to the belt.. I've never seen one like that except on JD. Not a good design.
