Agreed on cbets on missed flops. When everyone misses, usually the first to act takes the pot down.

Winning player. 29 years (got records) many venues. Still I am guilty of getting very upset by big draw outs. Don't Steam!! Sometimes I'll politely leave find another game or just pack it in for the night. If you can't not steam, Leave, chill out find another game. Not playing is better than playing and burning $$$. Poker will always be there.

I am glad you reminded me of these things! I have improved my game by leaps and bounds!
I am winning more money than ever. ( coins)
Great video, as always! #3 and #1 will help me!
I have been loosing due to a low kicker and betting a gainst fish! Then a whole bunch of fools that raise the pot and have nothing!
I am working hard on tecognizing bluffers, although i still fail.😮
I am VERY nice even when i lose. In coin games ut does help me. There are many instances i can tell you how it has helped me. One player went from a low of 290 coins to 1st place. I was 9th on the final table. Everytime i bet he went all in. So he slide me into 2nd place! I let him win finally. Others get used to my new playing style and instantly fold.😅 i went from a Nit to a more aggressive player. Really, on my game app. Players generally respect good players. Many of the "good players" challenge the fish, beat them, and everyone else cheers.
    Thanks,😊

I think most of us sympathize.
That said, what you don't seem to understand if that stuff like this happens. Statistical ANOMALIES happen.
If you flip a coin a trillion times, it will come up the same side thousands, millions of times in a row.
There have been ZILLIONS of poker hands played. Because of that there is a unlucky Murphy of poker somewhere that will have AA lose all in preflop 100 times in row as a statistical ANOMALIES.
I myself, GOT BAD BEAT KNOCKED OUT OF 70 POKER TOURNAMENTS IN A ROW.
I built $15 into $250, that got bad beat knocked out 70 times in row, and that BAD RUN knocked me down from $250 down to $6, despite having 100+ buy ins, and moving down stakes. I then grinded that $6 up to $1850 online.
These things happen. They are part of poker.
Of course they can be upsetting, and can cause to tilt, etc.
That's why one should have good bankroll management, have good discipline, take breaks when need to, etc, and not tilt, etc.
Yeah I and others have complained about bad beats, and that can be natural to do, but you have to eventually move on past, accept, etc, bad beats in order to either not tilt, stop tilting, profit over the long term, etc.
Bad beats are part of poker.
Yeah they suck when they happen, but they are still part of poker, and still have to eventually get over them to be a good player.

wow that first one is REALLY insightful!
Because INDEED i get frustrated sometimes when things that SHOULDNT happen happen haha.
Or i am just reckless and careless, and repeat raises (and AT THAT POINT i actually over-do it -which means i am either BLUFFING or the timing is off or something… and both may work out for A FEW TIMES but it will eventually catch up with me and cauae me to lose…
(So yeah that moment is very crucial)
    - I wouldnt do that though. But tou know what part of my problem is? (chaos lol)
I often am doing many things at once, or from one thing to another, sometimes i even FORGET i was playing Poker! And lose good opportunities.
    …. 😂😢😂
    So yea… 🧐… really a good one.
I am actually not ready enough to play… i can already play pretty decent but there’s allways something i’m forgetting for a moment….
    -this has way more complicated
    reasons though-
I start to believe i should check this channel a bit more often because it is good way to remind myself and there is definetely some things i can learn from you!
Do you have an overview of the Player types you mentioning or something?
    Like the fish,
    TAG
    PAG
    etc.
That is something that would be very helpful for me than i dont need to come up with MY OWN TERMS to label players etc…
Anyway i am often not fully available to the game and that definetely make me miss out on important details and opportunities.
This is one of the first things i’ll be working on this week.
    😊
    🙏

Your right about that specific situation.
Nathan black rain was not talking about that specific situation.
You named a EXCEPTION. Nathan wasn't talking about the EXCEPTIONS.
Nathan was right THAT MOST OF THE TIME, GOOD PLAYERS DO NOT CALL WITH K4 TYPE HANDS MOST OF THE TIME.
Exceptions to that are players open raising K4 suited in a unopened pot on button, cutoff, to steal blinds.
Open raising K4 suited about 5,6,7,8 X BB on button, cut off, sb, BB, to steal the limp ins.
Calling with K4 suited on BB, button, against a loose standard 3 x BB raise from a fishy player.
The rest of time from UTG, other positions, situations, K4 suited should USUALLY be folded preflop in order to be a good player.
You don't go by the EXCEPTIONS.

Btw i cant understand that some players are THAT ATUPID that they literally call ANYTHING and PLAY almost ALL hands!!
Reminds me of this guy that was SO OBVIOUSLY BLUFFING like CRAZY! And HE HAD BIG STACK
i labeled him as a fish… (had seen one your videos recently before)
I REALLY PROFITTED from him!!! 2 times big win hahahahaha that was SO funny!
I was feeling like im playing against a CHILD!! haha
BIG BETS with relatively weak hands. Or NOTHING!
Maybe AJ high one time but 2 times he had literally nothing and thats what i just discovered somehow.
Btw its quite funny because i pretty often BUSTED someone BLUFFING and I KNEW IT!
And i got REALLY AGGRESSIVE (i had big stack at that time)
And he was making BIG bets and i was like (almost HATE! 😂) making a MASSIVE counter bet very qucik on top of him.
    Like WANNA BET??!!!?
-“And thats when he knew he fcked up” 😂
Also 2 times same player hahahha. There he learned his lesson 😅
And the better/pro players on the table were laughing excessively haha
I also deleted 2 guys in a tough game that were like bullies or something and the players on the table where somehow very happy with me it seemed haha

      Yes, no, depends.
A lot of what he is saying to do is against certain types of players in micro stakes games.
Most of the time in those micro stakes games your going to run into the certain type of players he is talking about.
So in micro stakes games, it's right to Cbet a lot for the reasons he describes.
In micro stakes your usually against either semi nits, or call stations.
If against nits, etc, you want to Cbet.
If against call station fish, you do NOT want to CBET.
In micro stakes you want to Cbet about 59% to 66% of time. Against nits you want to Cbet about 73% to 83% of time, anything more then that, and even nits might think you are bullying them, and either call or play back at you
Against call stations you want to Cbet about 7% to 10% to 13% of time as a change of pace, mixing up your game, etc, as you can't always check 100% of time, even against a call station fish.
Overall that means that overall one should Cbet about, around 59% to 66% of time in micro stakes.
If up against good players, your cbet% should drop to about 43% to 53% at most, because if you Cbet a lot against a good player, then they will play back at you, reraise, etc, a lot, because they know that your Cbetting on boards that don't likely hit your range, etc.
Also board texture is important in Cbetting.
On a 522 flop, if you Cbet, a good player might semi probably think, have semi good reason to think your BS, and play back at you, reraise you, etc.
On a J 72 rainbow board, or Q72 type board, and if your semi tight to semi moderate, semi aggressive, they probably would give you credit for a J or Q in your range and fold to a Cbet if they are not a awesome player, and if they are not a call station.
And the J, Q probably does not hit their calling range, and if big paint type cards are in their range, usually it's a K or Ace in their calling range, instead of a Q or J
Boards that are very WET, SLIPPERY, WELL COORDINATED, LOTS OF DRAWS, ETC, are also bad to Cbet on unless your semi bluff Cbetting where you have draw equity or if you could end up having the turn give you a good draw.
So board texture, player type, stakes, circumstances, table conditions, etc, should determine when you Cbet.
But overall you should be Cbetting about 59% to 66% of time.
So Nathan blackrain is right about most of what he is saying about Cbetting, and when to Cbet.
But he does Cbet a little tiny bit just barely too often
But the general Cbetting principle he teaches will improve beginners poker games.

    • @mikehickmanvloggamessingin3604
      @mikehickmanvloggamessingin3604 Před 3 měsíci

      @@terencehill3972
When Cbetting it's not always about trying to make a better hand fold.
Especially in your AQ on a T43 board example.
T43, LIKELY doesnt hit a standard opponents calling range.
Yes sure opponent can have AT, KT, QT, small pocket pair, etc, that they can be calling with.
But they could also easily have any Ax, Kx, Qx, that does NOT HIT.
And there are MORE of those type of hands, in their range, that do not hit board, then the relatively FEW HOLDINGS in their range, that would hit board.
When you Cbet a T43 board you are playing the AWESOME ODDS that that board will not have hit MOST of your opponents range.
The times you don't want to Cbet T43, is when against opponents know, think that that board doesn't hit most of your range as well, and would play back at you accordingly.
A better Cbet board for the Cbettor would be J72, or Q72, etc, type boards, an or boards that are not wet, slippery, coordinated, draw heavy, unless you have a draw or if turn could give you a draw.
So it's not always about forcing better hands to fold with a cbet.
It's about forcing hands that don't like the flop whether such hands are better hands, or worse hands that missed flop to fold to a nothing Cbet hand on a nothing flop..
T43 is a flop that most hands that preflop caller called with preflop will hate and will want to fold against a Cbet, as long as the player is not a extremely good player.

    • @mikehickmanvloggamessingin3604
      @mikehickmanvloggamessingin3604 Před 3 měsíci

Basically Nathan black rain is teaching beginning players that play at micro stakes about the importance of GTO, GAME THEORY OPTIMAL CBETTING.
You guys are ignoring GTO, likelyhoods, etc
