Congrats on the 20k Tom!🎈🎆🎉🎈. Got in to wildlife photography after finding your channel just about 4 months ago and I cant thank you enough. This year I really want to get out and photograph the local foxes. I took the dog out for a walk around a frozen lake close to where I live a few days ago. Saw a vixen with her two cubs walking out on the ice, and of course I didnt bring any camera gear😭. At least i know they have a den in the area now, and I guess that camera bag could come in handy on future walks and hikes 😉

This year I plan on photographing foxes and Red-backed Shrikes in my local area. I've tried to photograph them last year as well but it was already a bit late in the year when I started with them and I didn't have a long enough lens. The advantage of that is that I now already know where they are.

Congrats on the 20K - onwards and upwards! As soon as circumstances allow, I plan to start a project on some Water Rails I found at the end of last year. As it happens, I did my own research about the Gitzo Adventury back pack and came to the conclusion that it was exactly what I needed. However, my wife said it will be a cold day in hell that I get yet another rucksack. I'm paraphrasing a bit, as what she actually said was a lot stronger.....

Always excellent material Tom even if you didn’t get the big shot. Big thanks for getting us through these challenging times. Been shooting quite a bit close to my house the past few months. Fortunate that I’m within a few minutes of some good open riparian space so shooting opportunities abound. Seriously considering investing in the 300mm 2.8 (F mount) even if the rage is all “mirrorless.” My D500 is still keeping me quite satisfied with good Nikon glass. With that new acquisition I’m hoping to get more local wildlife pics a bit closer in.

I have 5 projects on the go for this year, all wildlife related. Sounds like alot but I am fortunate to have been given access to local farmland that have them all on one site. Barn Owl, Hare, Badger, Fox and finally Kingfisher.

Seems like a great location for the badger sett and your camera trap.
I´ve a few projects in mind for this season one of those are a larger one trying to capture badger activity during night and day which hopefully will
turn out to be a feature in a small gallery next winter, currently keeping my eyes open for potential badger setts but as you mentioned the once I´ve found are in thick and dense woodland with 0 natural light.. :P

Hi Tom, thank you for the giveaway! The subject I look forward to the most is the pine martin. There's a habitat not too far from where I live and I know they're there, but I haven't managed to capture them on camera yet. Another big one on the list is the fox, I've been trying for a year but they have always outsmarted me. A decent camera bag like the Gitzo will allowed me to bring more gear and camo, so I can get to the spot better prepared and more important, more sneaky since I won't be carrying stuff in my hands! Fingers crossed! 🙂 love your videos! Cheers

I mostly shoot landscapes and birds sometimes, but the level you’re working with here is a whole different game-traps and tracking and all. About a year ago now I found wildlife photography and I just fell in love with it. Since then I've been out with my camera almost every day, scouting and photographing the animals in my local area here in southern sweden. My photography has steadily been improving during this time and your youtube channel, and other channels like it, has been a massive help along the way. Thanks for that!
This year Im really looking forward to continue photographing the small moose population I have in my area. Im especially looking forward to late spring/ early summer when Im quietly hoping for one of the cow moose to have a little baby calf! 😄

Congrats on 20k Tom, well deserved. I have a couple of tips to follow up on (when lockdown ends) for otters and peregrine falcons. Other than that i hope to get the best out of shooting whatever i can find locally.

I'm super excited to get some images of foxes this year. I've haven't had the fortune of seeing one in nature yet, but patience is a virtue :)

Sounds great! I'd love to camera trap for some more big cats, the UK is rather lacking in that!

I hope to finally complete my project showing the change of seasons around my local area. Next to that, apparently there are rumors there's a kingfisher in the local woodlands, and I hope to finally catch a glimpse of it!

I have had many days like yours in this video. Cold grey and no subjects to shoot. I have recently found a spot where a buzzard hangs out and is relatively cool with me being around, so I have a plan to spend time shooting. It this spring and Summer. We also have Cirl Buntings within walking distance of the house, so they will be a subject this year too.

Great inspiration and useful tips as ever Tom. Just splashed out on a new zoom lens. Itching to get out there with it. If only I had a safe and comfy bag to put it in. Thanks very much for the brilliant videos, please keep them coming!

At the moment being able to do some photography more than a couple of miles from home seems like a dream. Once we're allowed back out I'm really hoping to get some reptile images in my portfolio.

This year my focus, will be to get more of Birds of prey photography. A bit of a newbie in wildlife, but i guess you have to start somewhere and this bag can accompany me outdoor with the gear!
    Cheers
