Age of Common Sense was when megafauna roamed the Earth, and humans were eaten by 8' tall birds with beaks the size of footballs, and saber-tooth tigers. Back then, if one didn't have common sense, you didn't live long enough to pass on your genes.
Then we discovered weapons, and all the things that could kill us, died off...which allowed those without common sense to live longer and produce more offspring.

Euro Oceania, You mean it was put into place by the English who ruled in those parts before it became South Africa... It has nothing to do with the known "oppressive regime". Nowhere do you have to cross a border into South Africa and back again into Lesotho to get to a small exclave or whatever, Lesotho is well connected internally. Plus Lesotho as we know it today has mostly natural borders, rivers to the north and west and mountains to the south and east.
