@@2fmrc 1.5hrs of Black Rocks and I am smitten. without any weight or change of wheels/tyres it is already crawling really well. the FOC function is excellent - feels like cheating. just need to lower cog, try tyres and get some front overdrive (anybody know if the gears exist yet or in future?). easily the best RTR vehicle. already better than some of my modded rigs...happy crawling
@@bongofury3176 nice! Glad to hear it. I’m always afraid I’ll rave about something and people will be dissatisfied lol. Furitek is supposed to bring us OD gears for these axles. None available yet that I know of.
Far better look with this body. The way you arranged the rear is very clean, too. You saved the rig from its ugly out-of-the-box look.👍
As i have a couple of FCX24 P-Wagon bodies waiting for a new life, you gave me the idea i was looking for to wear my future (still not arrived yet) FX118 a decent way.😊
I'll paint it full rust, and maybe take the bonnet off and put a dummy engine. A rust rod look should suit perfectly.😉

Glad you mentioned about the noise. nothing like being out next to a creek listening to the water and birds and having something whining next to you though. So the body was part of the issue. have you filled with grease in the transmission, diffs, portals to reduce that even more?

Yeah I loaded everything down with grease. The body made a huge difference. Still a little loud but not near what it was. The venom motor is just loud! Sounds like it’s screaming for help when you punch it lol

Really appreciate it. Pretty much ate it up! Couple spots the crazy performers will pull some lines that it just couldn’t get but the regular lines were no issue at all.

Received mine yesterday, really looking forward to overdrive or underdrive gears arriving.
I can’t seem to find the overdrive or underdrive. Are they available for other cars that would work?
@@AZ4130EZ-BZ Furitek is supposed to have OD and UD on the way for it. Once you see them for the Hobby Plus CR18P platform, they will share. They don't really share parts with anything else.

Man these companies have been making it hard on amain lately. I always go there first but the losi Promoto I ordered from there still never shipped 😆
I pre ordered the FX118 1st of September at Amain and it seems I wasn't in the first batch deliveries. Upon inquiry I've been told mid November will be ETA. I love Amain and their support. But I'm disappointed having to wait for another two months 🙁
@@rofufoja yeah, I’m an Amain-only shopper when it’s possible, but I may have to cancel and reorder from Furitek direct bc I don’t want to wait until November either lol

Thanks! I wouldn’t mind extending the front a bit but then the servo would be hitting bad so I think I’ll probably leave it as is. The best thing about this body is it really made it feel much shorter than the stock body. I was always hanging the rear of the stock body because it stuck out so far. Now it clears much better.

Cutting the shock towers was a missed opportunity to stick thru the hood and use the pre drilled shock tower holes to slip a body clip to secure said body up front.then I would have put some velcro on that wooden box between the back cab and box and I imagine that cab would have been locked in.
Anyone else with that chassis , there's a sweet mounting idea.
Yeah I thought it would probably be easier to secure the body that way but i personally don’t like the towers sticking through the body much. So far I haven’t even did anything else besides the velcro and it hasn’t came off on me yet lol. The way the body is slit over the rails keeps it locked in pretty well.

What battery packs are you running ? First thing I did was ditch the stock body . Besides it being ugly lol has all the weight up top with the light bar.

I got my fury wagon today , and after 5-6 minutes running the motor burnt out , it was red hot with smoke coming out of the motor it's self , I'm really unhappy, what are furitek like for after sales service ?
They are usually pretty good. Curious if you were running 3s? I’ve heard of some issues with 3s but that’s all I run in mine. I’d definitely reach out to them and see what they say.
@@2fmrc Hi mate , I was only using the 2s battery that came with the truck , I was only running it around my living room , I had just unboxed it charged the stock 2s battery 5-6 minutes later it was smoking , even the battery connection had stated to melt it was that hot , I have been in contact with furitek and it's looking promising from the emails they have sent me up to now , Tony is looking in to it for me , fingers crossed mate 🇬🇧
@@keithbutler6361 wow! Sorry to hear it man. I think they’ve had a few issues with that but mostly on 3s. Do you know if your esc was still set to venom motor? Mine has switched on its own a few times and the motor started getting hot crazy fast. Just trying to figure out what may have happened. I may try to post a video warning people.
@@2fmrc I did look on the furicar app and just as it came on it was on commodo but it went straight away to venom and stayed on that setting , it's like something shorted out with the battery connection getting so hot it had started to melt , I was really disappointed with it being a gift from my wife and kids for my birthday on the 27th , I was a very young at heart 58 year old , RC trucks keep you young guys 🇬🇧
@@2fmrc well guess what , Furitek emailed me and they are sending me a new motor , I just hope the esc is ok , I think I will test the motor before actually fitting it first and be ready to pull the plug and have a fire extinguisher at the ready too mate 🇬🇧

Is the rig actually called fury wagon or is it the fcx24 power wagon? I haven’t seen this rig yet.
It's the new fury wagon from furitek that he has fitted his own body to.
It’s a Hobby Plus Cr18p with Furitek chassis and electronics. It’s released by Furitek as the Fury Wagon. He just through a fcx24 body on it.
