Thanks so much, David. These positional analysis podcast are really helping me think differently about this team and what each group could achieve (ideally). I certainly don't believe that anything Aiyuk has said or done was unknown to JD. I'm sure JD probably knew he was going to post stuff before Aiyuk posted stuff. My only issue is that Aiyuk IS DEFINITELY using JD (who is supposed to be his best friend) as a pawn in his play to get more money from San Fran. That's just grimey to me. But if JD is a willing pawn, then 🤷♀🤷♀🤷♀
When was the last time this team could actually brag about their linebackers!?! Hard for me to remember…..and I am not a young man!!!! Yet another reason I am very excited this year, calling for 11 wins!!! (Yes, I’m a bit bullish…but y’all would love it, wouldn’t ya?)
I don’t believe for one second that Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu won’t have a positive impact on Jamin Davis. I also have confidence that the current staff will use him in ways that benefit the team that the previous staff just couldn’t, or… refused to figure out.
Here's my opinion on Aiyuk. What we absolutely DO NOT need is a player who thinks he can force his hand or manifest his own reality in a league of teams that has employees under contract. When the contract is up... come and talk to me like mase and cam. Until then. If you are not 100% professional... 100% of the time while we rebuilding this.... you need to not be here. . Regardless of talent level, perceived friendship... whatever. Hard pass... mostly due to Aiyuk me, me, me attitude about contacts and playing under them until they are expired.
