  • Here is a potential life saving defect. The rear wheels are held in place with steel studs in aluminum threads. It’s not ideal as when it fails your rear wheel will sail right past you at some point.
    Using Patton Machine insert jig and parts from McMaster this can be completed in an afternoon quite easily.
    The end result is much stronger due to strong keen or heli coil inserts in the existing trailing arm. You can reuse your existing studs if they are not damaged or replace.
    This is a must have safety item task to do.
    You can attempt to do without the jig but you really need to be perfectly perpendicular to the face of trailing arm for this to be done right.
