(This is my first animatic so thank you all for all the support you've already shown!!!! you guys are insane!!! It's more than I could have ever asked for or dreamed of. Please know that)
(Yes, I know Cleo wasn't actually reacting to Grian, but please trust me, that scene would be a lot worse conveyed in this animatic as is. I made a change so it flows nicely! I thought it'd be funny if Cleo was just really offended at Grian mocking Gem's accent)

This was a much simpler little thing to do, but I do want to get to some more proper animating again too! Thank you all for all your kind words and support. As always, it means more to me than you will ever know
I hope that you get to have a bit of fun with this animatic, as I had fun making it despite my lacking human drawing skills, but I'm improving...!

HEY I KNOW CLEO WASN'T REACTING TO GRIAN.... I made a change so it'd flow nicely! I thought it'd be funny if Cleo was just really offended at Grian mocking Gem's accent, and it fit much better into the animatic this way. I really didn't think it'd be a big deal so I'm sorry for the confusion! But also, art is nothing if not the act of taking creative liberties!!
Also: "Why didn't this other moment get into the video?" - because I am human!! Flesh and bone!! I'm sorry I can't do everything, but I hope that you'll be able to enjoy what I do make in spite of this. if you really want to see a particular moment illustrated or animated - Pick up a pencil, what's stopping you? Go crazy! Or commission someone. PLEASE remember the human behind every piece of art, and please be kind to that human

The funny thing is that Cleo’s wow wasn’t even at grian, it was at the fact that gem gave the gift Cleo gave to her to etho, but it still works
I figured that's what it was but it would have been weird not to include her when she's very prominent in the audio at that point, so to keep things from getting too confusing I switched it up so that her being there makes more sense!

I feel like I could improve a ton though...! Notice how Grian's torso/jumper very frequently becomes an indistinguishable mass? Because I cannot draw people in neutral positions at all lmao, but thank you still!!!
@@TubbyTarchiaI thought it worked very well! The viewer’s focus is on the faces, so a minimalist body makes sense in a lot of scenes!

this whole thing is incredibly fantastic but i wanted to say that i immediately latched onto your gorgeous design for gem!! the perspective change when grian asks etho about the bookshelves was also very neat :] awesome, awesome work here, and kudos for getting such a long animation out after only a handful of days!

I just couldn't figure out a nice not-confusing way to draw that and make it flow naturally, so I switched it up a little...! I also thought the idea of Cleo getting so offended by Grian mocking Gem's accent was really funny

Canary Jimmy dancing when Grian was singing was adorable
This is incredible! I love Jimmy turning into a dancing parrot when Grian sings, I love the zombie dance, I love Jimmy’s outrage when Etho says he misses Mumbo and Lizzie, and I especially love that THIS is how I find out that the one who stole the enchanting setup was Grian!
LMAO REALLY?? It was so funny, I couldnt stop cackling at Jimmy's session (so naturally, I made an animatic as a result lol)

The complete contradiction in Grian's emotions with Jimmy's is hilarious! Like every time Jimmy tells Grian to do something his smile VANISHES and Jimmy starts smiling ear to ear and the expressions in your animation captured the feeling in their voices perfectly!

grian is just too "lmao random" to be sussed for all of this, like ofc he would randomly growl at people and force Cleo to do a dance he just invented, he's grian! the guy sings about pickles and steals people's doors.

The fact that Grian is so chaotic that most of his shinanigans are taken as him being natural.
The zombie dance but was my favorite, the way Etho just didn’t verbally respond and went right to showing off the zombie dance was adorable vocally and you portrayed it visually very well
