As a Stone Fabricator I am nervous 😬at the thought of having to pull up your stone island after a recent installation to swap out your sink. I would be so scared that it will crack that stone trying to pop it off. Personally, I wouldn't swap out my sink. The white is beautiful, classic.
I agree. She is fussing unnecessarily about something of no importance. Not to mention the added cost which is hilarious because she is so proud of how frugal she is shopping second hand like crazy. She has money to burn obviously.

Your kitchen is perfect! At least to me on camera the two sink colours looked extremely close. I personally wouldn't risk cracking the marble and paying for an additional sink for a different coloured sink. Even if the difference is more evident irl, with the fact that the two items aren't actually right next to each other and that they're paired with two different countertops (marble v sandstone) don't think you'd find it that bothersome day to day, or that anyone who doesn't deliberately check would notice they don't match perfectly. Both the kitchen and the living room are looking great 😍
I do Love the bisque but I have to agree .. chancing it would be very costly.
I agree. Don't risk it. When they installed the wrong sink in my kitchen, they cracked my countertop. I had to redo all counter tops.

Yes she just needs to lean into the mismatch a little before making any decisions. White fabric for the window blinds or even a white vase on the sill would instantly add a bit of balance
Macenna here’s a tip for the wood mess, my husband work cutting wood as well he just keeps a wheelbarrow next to him while cutting and throws the extra pieces in there, that way it’s faster, not all over the place, and easier to carry. ❤️
I would let the stove be a statement piece, leave the sink white and don’t risk damage to the stone or your island if there is adhesive under the stone. If the sink and stove were touching each other, the color difference might be an issue, but with space apart, it doesn’t matter. The real money shot is from the living room centred up to the stove, and that view is already fantastic! Wait it out, when the cupboards are finished and it’s all dressed, it’ll be gorgeous.
Please consider leaving the white sink and viewing it as another aspect of the veins in the marble. I really see a disaster in the making in trying to pry up your counter to change it out. We all know how much you love that particular slab and would be heartbroken if something happened! I have seen many kitchens and bathrooms where there was white,cream, putty,bone,ivory,biscuit all together and it was very beautiful and calming.
MaCenna! Have you thought about doing mini clover ground cover instead of grass in the front yard? It would be so beautiful!

Talking about shades, I do agree with other comments that a yellow undertone sink it just gives a vibe of not very clean.
Is your budget and if you really want to change your new sink to match the stove shade is your choice, but is hard to relate.
The stone egg is very pretty and to also have a brass holder for it, nice.
Originally the stone eggs were created for darning socks, in the heel and toe areas. They really came in handy in the day. Loved seeing the Rose Bowl and the swap meet. Really brings back great memories of my childhood and youth.

I would think hard about switching out the sink. There isn’t much of a difference and you would be tearing out something you already have complete. Make sure you place the stove and back splash before you make a final decision. Just don’t want to see you add more work to your long list. You work hard enough already.

If you replace the sink won’t the countertop be compromised since the sink is udermounted
I think the difference of the 'whites' is so very minimal it would be a silly, expensive switch, especially since the stove and sink are not side by side but apart from each other. Just a thought...

Everything is coming together. Looks so amazing. I agree with other commenters on here to not swap out the sink because it's such a tiny difference in colour. Barely noticeable to be honest. Especially when the risk is the stone cracking....the matchy matchy aspect, I would let it go.

Personally, I wouldn’t go through all the trouble to change the sink. If there are alternate ways in which you dont have to risk damaging the marble then go those routes! Overall, the space looks like a dream 😍

That small rug you showed in the beginning is a prayer rug! Muslims use it to pray at home and sometimes will take it to the mosque on Friday if the mosque is full and they end up praying outside😊 This is like a standard little rug and are very cheap so curious to know how much they’ll ask for it😂

Stone lady for 40 years. The risk involved… the cutting loose of the stone and sink. Is Meile going to buy you a new island if it cracks or breaks. Hopefully only epoxy spots holding the island place and no adhesive on top of the wood under. Just something to think about… cover your hinny. 💙
Also as pretty as the biscuit colour sink is, I don’t see that much of a difference. In fact I love that the white oven picks out the white on the island worktop. It’s so pretty and honestly, not worth risking your beautiful worktop for such a subtle difference!

I watched your video where you did the hearth and floating shelves and cabinet and my husband started watching the episode with me and got locked in, he was very impressed with how everything came together and now wants to buy a kreg jig and your corner clamp. He kept saying wow, that turned out really nice and I just felt like a proud parent, mind you I’m 33😂😂 But you ARE amazing and such an inspiration❤

To use a MaCenna quote “paint is paint”. Sure you want to keep the Millstone gray. But if you find a rug you love that doesn’t go with the Millstone, it can always be a different color. 😌 “Paint is Paint!”😌 Also I think maybe that wenge color that was a bathroom possibility, would be a pretty color for the brick because it has that purple undertone? 🤷♀️

I don’t think everything has to match perfectly. Old houses have their quirks. It seems like more of a hassle to change out the sink for a hint of a different shade of white. It’s your house tho so if you need that detail to be satisfied then go for it lol

I like the biscuit colored tile, it goes great with the countertop and stove and will also go well with the brass faucet. But can you change out the sink without damaging your marble? Your house is looking so good. I can’t wait to see your kitchen cabinet doors!
