2024 NETRA Black Fly Harescramble by CATRA

- The CATRA Black Fly was the third round of the 2024 NETRA Harescramble series. Not the race weekend I was hoping for spoiler alert! What I thought was a dead battery ended my race short of my first lap and ended up being a punctured coolant line, leading to overheating the top end to the point that the piston hit the power valve. Well, that’s racing: 90% rider and 10% bike. I’ll be ready for the next round. Banana Bros sweeps the podium again, with @BETABROS88 Charlie Thieme took first place, Dustin Jackson came in second, and Anthony Guadagno finished third. The Capital Area Trail Riders Association put on an awesome event, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Thanks to my sponsors and the support from my wife and NZN Horsemanship.

Yeah, it does. It turns out I cooked the top end bike it had no coolant with the typical hole-punched radiator hose opn the power valve cover.

When I raced harescramble on a Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda I never had a DNF in 10 years.
Much has to do with the rider in this case; if I hadn't hit a sapling, I would have been fine.
All you need is a Honda pro link XR200 and I will smoke everything out there. I don't carry extra plugs too much weight on my bike so I carry it in my pocket.
