Looks so good, got my CBR 2 months ago, I’ve only changed the exhaust at the moment. Got clip on handlebars ready to go on. Next is the tail and indicators changed!
I have a cbr500r 2017... Everyone says the power isn't there but still cracks me up that these are quicker that most $30000 Japanese sports cars... I had a Toyota GT86 and it wasn't as quick as my cbr
Looks good man! Quick question: with the new clip ons, when turning at full lock, do the bars hit the side of the tank? Cause the stock ones are already pretty close, I'd like to do this mod but I'm worried they might touch. Thanks
I had a red one from the same year. I got it up to 117mph on the autobahn.. it wouldn't go any faster though. Nice bike though, I rode it frrom Germany to Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Hungary on an 8 day tour back in 2018. I've got a 2020 CBR650r & a highly customized 2000 Yamaha Fazer 600. I'm still waiting for the fair weather riders to come out...lol.
Hey, I watched most of your videos when I first purchased mine. I enjoyed the bike alot though. I've since traded up for an older BMW cafe'd. Couldnt have them both financially unfortunately.
Love the sports handle mod. The og position of the handler is ugly and remember-me of the indians motorcycle taste style. I can't understund this new generations of low cc sport bikes that try do put handle more up and put seat more down, like a naked.
Pretty sweet but you gotta do something with those brake fluid reservoirs I put the black Sleeves with red cbr logos On mine and it looks awesome And I have the same blacked out bike 2013 model
Im going down to a 500. I dont need to go 160 on the street or lose my license. I can still cut up corners and with a few mods I could be happy with this bike. Dont buy cheap rearsets though. Maybe I could get away with it at 150 lbs but no way for 200lb + riders.
Hi Marcus! Thanks for your video! I have the same bike as you and i will change handlebar with lowers one as same as you, but i noticed that with original clip-ons there are 2 "Fork Seal Rings", very thin metallic ring, one for side, in your case down the blue bolt, one on the right and one on the left, that i must remove those ones for the installation of new clip-ons... in your video clip-on supporta are taller then the original ones too, then i think you removed it. Did you have problems without those rings or it is okey? Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!!
Andy Ho No and no. I can still go full lock and it barely misses the tank. BUT to get it to make full lock I had the rotate both brake and clutch levers up an few degrees to clear the front fairing, which in turn makes for a kinda awkward position when your operating the levers. But I haven't had any problems so far and I can still grab them quickly when needed.
HI, I serch your rear view mirrors with led indicator, please tell me where u buy this one, i serch a many times but i don't find nothing similar. Thanks, NICE CBR Bro
Francesco Chiarelli they're all over man, even Amazon has a variety. I got my replacements from somewhere I would have to look back up, but they had some just like those but they may have been carbon fiber.
Really nice bike dude, I just bought the 2018 red and white one and i cant wait to ride it. The mods you have on yours are the same I want to put on mine bro but I want to ask you, could be the clip ons a bit unconfortable for a shorter dude like me? I’m 1,72 m
hiratrefen1 They do make the ride slightly uncomfortable but im not sure about shorter people. I guess it depends how long your arms are. It feels very similar, as far as reach, as a cbr600rr. Id go and sit on one and see how you feel about it.
Hey mate , love your bike! I got one of these coming in a week, in matte black as well and I'm wondering how the turning signals are, I saw in the TST how to install video that they were quite invisible if you're looking at them from the front , although yours don't look so hidden, did you do anything special with those?
BatYeena PWI I have the HALO-1 flush mounts for the Cbr600rr and the way you have to mount them they do show a little better than the basic Cbr500r flush mounts. I mounted them exactly like they show on their video.
Ah i see , Also i'm wondering between the red halo and the white halo for the matte black cbr500 (I have red decals and red clutch/brakes levers) Didnt see any with red halo tho, any idea if it'd look good?
The bars that hold the mirrors are those like the ones in the ninja 400 that you can actually bring them inside for not hitting cars while filtering or do they remain the same position always and you just can move them unscrewing and adjusting them?
Not true. You can install these at any angle on the forks so I installed mine to barely clear the tank at full lock. They were still at a comfortable position for riding though. I did have to adjust the clutch/brake levers up a bit to clear the fairing, so the reach to them was slightly unnatural but I never had a problem getting to them when needed.
Tank cleared by a millimeter or 2. Brake lever will contact the front fairing. I rotated them up slightly to get the most clearance possible. Still had no problems locking the forks.
YungNegev Im 5'11". Its at standard riding position with lower rear sets so leg room is no issue. My knee rest right below the fuel tank. With stock clipons the reach to the handlebars is comfortable. So id say yes it is ok for taller riders.
I'm 6"3 stock 2017 model and it's fine for me. What I will say is that I am definitely going to buy some lowered clip ons. The stock ones are far too high and make corners terrifying 😂
I'm only 5'9" and I can't imagine having longer legs and still riding a 500. The other comments may be from people with a long torso or something. Go for a bigger bike unless you want to feel like you can't take off quick when already doing the speed limit. It's not fast at all, the only upside is the riding position is in between the 500/600-1000. You can ride upright or down, but the windshield is tiny and if you wear a helmet don't expect it to do anything lol Also the handles for someone taller than me would force you to sit upright... I'm switching to something bigger and I'm not tall or all that big.
This is the exact bike I want. Love the matte black.
Brian Wiseman I have the 2013, why do you want this? Get at least a 600!
Looks so good, got my CBR 2 months ago, I’ve only changed the exhaust at the moment. Got clip on handlebars ready to go on. Next is the tail and indicators changed!
What clip ons did you get?
I have a cbr500r 2017...
Everyone says the power isn't there but still cracks me up that these are quicker that most $30000 Japanese sports cars...
I had a Toyota GT86 and it wasn't as quick as my cbr
Nate's Escape true I have a 2015 370z and it’s about the same 0-60 and my 370z has 330hp
That looks awesome man, can you put the links of the mods ? :D
Very cool bike, looks awesome, just bought a new "GP red "one myself, but yours in matte black is the business, ride safe.
Thanks. I actually sold it a year ago but I'm looking to get back on the refreshed body style. It's a great bike and the range cant be beat.
Man bike looking good,i just get one like this orange/black!
Make every day 50 km to work, and i am in love!!!
Bike looks fantastic man congratulations. Sweet mods.
can you make more vids with that cbr500 that looks dope af love it!
I am curious, if anyone has lowered a 500r yet.... maybe you're next move sir!
The bike however, looks amazing man!!!
beatifull thats exacly how i wanted mine to look like
Great mod ideas. Thx

Clean setup, Love it!!
Dope. Nice joint. Nothing like working on ur bike. 💯. Subbed.
Nice mods. I wish I could find one in black.
Love the sports handle mod.
The og position of the handler is ugly and remember-me of the indians motorcycle taste style.
I can't understund this new generations of low cc sport bikes that try do put handle more up and put seat more down, like a naked.
Its made for beginners, so they have an easier time riding... i agree with you, if you buy a sport bike you want the sport riding positioning
I don't know why anyone does signal eliminators, do you want to get run over? It really doesn't look good on a slender bike.
Pretty sweet but you gotta do something with those brake fluid
reservoirs I put the black Sleeves with red cbr logos On mine and it looks awesome
And I have the same blacked out bike 2013 model
beautiful bike - i am getting mine at christmas

Super explain
Looking good man loose them reflectors though lol
Very nice, tasteful

The rings were removed and not reused. Just red locktite on the new clip on hardware once you figure out the right position.
Thank you so much man!
Perfect man looks mint !!!!!!
Can't wait to get one 12 mo weeks
Nice ride! Got the same one. Quick question about the clip-ons, do you lose full steering lock and does the handlebars hit the tank?
Andy Ho No and no. I can still go full lock and it barely misses the tank. Can you put the link where you got your clip-ons from please? Plus nice bike and video👍🏻
I dont remember exactly who i purchased mine from. If you search 41mm clip ons on ebay they show up.
beauty
honda oem tire huggger? for the 500????
HI, I serch your rear view mirrors with led indicator, please tell me where u buy this one, i serch a many times but i don't find nothing similar. Thanks, NICE CBR Bro

i'm 5'7 and i installed Heli Bar for my 17' cbr500r... Its amazing, super comfortable to ride now.
Paul Yoeun im 5’7 too can you do a video on yours and how it your body is positioned??
does your bars clear the front fairings when you turn the bars all the way to the left or right
Change the front sprocket. It will go faster. Change it to a 17t
This bike is long gone. But I enjoyed it with the stock gearing. Plus the 70 mpg. 250+ mile per tank easy.
Hey mate , love your bike! BatYeena PWI I have no idea. I went with white so that i could change my accent color on the bike without having to mess with the lights again.

Unscrew to adjust.
Hi, how do you managed to do the holes for mirror's cables? I'm intrested to change my mirrors with ones with lights on. thank you
It's the same and use the lines off the others. It just adds to the others, you can completely replace them, but I wouldn't.
Any change you can get links put up?
Hey bro. Link for the side mirrors?
Mirrors s signal which motor ?
Is it true with those bars you cannot lock the steering?

Also are you in GA?
Hey Marcus where did you get your ram mount?
Just a ram mount kit off amazon.
@@87redcamaro ya I bought the one that amounts to the gas tank but I don't like it I'm looking for the one that goes in my tree
hey man how tall are you? Is this a good bike for tall riders?
YungNegev Im 5'11". Its at standard riding position with lower rear sets so leg room is no issue. My knee rest right below the fuel tank. With stock clipons the reach to the handlebars is comfortable. So id say yes it is ok for taller riders.
Thank you for replying!

that site will let you check out your lean angle and such given your height and inseam measurments.
