My straight pipe set up is, 3" mid-pipe to 2.5" from the Y-pipe back. Test pipe and stock J-pipe. Here is a clip of a cold start, revs, driving and a pull from the cabin.

Mine is cl7 k20z2 automatic ive recently installed a hks exhaust that was gift from my friends toyota 86 hks L spec exhaust it sounds very good!! Hks makes the best sound and the car is driving better has better response and definitely feels faster because i removed the stock muffler which was heavy lol

adrian Perez most people just go with the 2.5" from the catback so I would recommend you go with that. Personally I didn't really notice much gain in power but I most certainly didn't lose any power. My car dynos at 205whp on a mustang dyno with this setup.

@@junior8403 cutting of just muffles is called a muffler delete, that's different from a straight pipe. They cut off the whole exhaust from the cat and replaced it with a pipe, and also gave me the tips. That's why I paid what I paid, I didn't get ripped off

I went 2.5 inch exhaust to dual 9th Gen Civic Si Mufflers. A bit quieter, might be louder once I add a J-pipe

Yes that's it. That's all I did. Basically you're getting rid of the resonator and the two mufflers and that's where the sound comes from

If you want it to sound as good as this, then yeah it has to be a V6. A straight pipe 4 cyl will not sound as good as a v6.
