this videos you made are very nice one can see the evolution of all brands devices, the speakers i still use today that others seem to do not like because the after 1980 amplifiers had not the perfect sound of any integrated amplifier from the 70´s but this speakers have a incredible sound ,i´m refering to the late 70´s(only) SB-F3 these are supposed to be on stands to hear directelly to one´s listening position having a chromed tripod that could be bought with the speakers, i had a set of big technics speakers that the tweeters were omnidirectional having three tweeters(not sure) the SB-8000 that also have a very good frequency response for the time being, for the only technics power and pre-amplifier i have from maybe 76 or 77 or a bit later

some younger persons think that technics made only turntables, which is sad because they had everything good

They did indeed, great cassette decks, CD players, receivers and amps. I have some from the 1980s and all work very well. Very happy with them all.

@@AlexMitchell-sj4sb so am i ,i have a deck that was stored since the 80´s ,put it to work as it as direct drive and with TDK cassettes and Sony plays and record perfect ,i know they have a belt inside but maybe my father put one new and i didn´t notice as we lived in diferent homes since 1972 and didn´t talk for 35 years ,now his gone and all his componemts ,very expensive ones and music colection all came to me, my younger sister and brother didn´t wanted nothing, the other day i watched a video and a coment that said "if technics had so good turntables why didn´t they built other components"and i have two top end complete component systems from 77 and mid 80´s and then some from the 90´s ,turntables i have 7 and sold my two SL-1200MKII from 79, my favorite one is a all technics SL-1000MKII ,took it to a store and the SL-1000GR didn´t came near it´s sound quality and much heavier, the owner of the store couldn´t believe it and he made the system where we conected both TT´s, to a new NAD receiver with old look and wharfedale Linton(also old style)

@@RUfromthe40s yeah I hate that "Technics only made good turntables" mentality. They made some great gear and some of it was/is high end. I would love some of their 70s speakers and 90s tape decks, actually just about anything from the 80s. My cassette decks are from 1983 and 1986 and are so well built and are actually their budget range ones. If they made budget range this well and still working, then what does that tell us about Technics quality?

@@AlexMitchell-sj4sb about 90´s tape decks in have two of them one with calibration and two models down without, both had the engines worn out in 2017 ,but i didn´t use them after 96 ,because i had a cd-r and minidisc decks but i put belts on two a CT-959 pioneer and a denon DRM-800a ,the technics are direct drive but they need belts also ,the strange thing is that i use them heavilly as i discover that some types of sound sound better in cassette ,so i used them very often, today only 50 minuts cassettes play and record without vibrations but a 79 and 77 also direct drive records all and was used a lot like almost everyday for years and today is still good only had to substitute one capstan, so the 90´s ones had very weak engines, i bought them and they are perfect but they cost me each 12€ ,now they work perfect but were much more frail than older ones, just saying ,also bought in the 80´s a A1 and a A2 pre and power with huge JBL´s and a SL-M1 turntable and a compact disc also and the deck was the 79 i still have , but not comparable with a 77 system i bought ,even the speakers were incredible good , the 70´s system still works and releases a very clean and powerfull sound using some restored SB-7000 and the cassette deck was two separated components the RS9900 with all from technics, like the cartridge that i´m still using today the EPC-270II (20-20khz, only) but sounds amazing with a SP-1 from 72, what surprised me the most was the SB-F3 (bought in 79 with the deck i refer) i even bought on ebay for only 120€ with transport a extra pair ,this speakers make any receiver or amplifier from any brand before 1980 sound amazing good, and if good any amplifier after, some complain about the bass but they have incredible bass and mids and high´s they sound better than some 4 ohms speakers, still use today the sp-1 and the SL-1000MKII with a mc cartridge EPC300MC and amplifier for it, SU-300MC also bought in 79 with the deck RS-M85 and some SB-E200 speakers that also are in use today, with the 77 pre and amplifier and a reel deck also from 77, my family was all Pioneer so i went for technics but today all is mine i have most of the good components sold by pioneer in the 70´s all ofered by family , but also have other brands as i colect hi-fi components the RS9900US is perfect and it´s a 77 deck, and i have more turntables, equalizers and speakers, be carefull if you buy one cassette deck on ebay sometimes they say it´s restored but in reality they need a new engine ,this talking about perfect sounding 90´s deck ,they received a award at the time price/quality relation, around what today is 700€
