Enjoy the wonders of Devon, van life is the best, I myself have just returned from 4 day's hiking in the Peak District, then returned back to Plymouth repacking and then 4 days Cornwall, can recommend Atlantic view camping near Porthcothan, tenner a night right by the beach, great coastal walks great base for exploring Cornwall, have fun stay safe

made me laugh as an Aussie….went to East Sussex to play cricket in ‘99 one day it was 30…all of the poms were like “oh…we’re dying…it’s too hot” me “finally some warm-ish weather”
In fairness you can always spot the Aussies and Americans in London in spring time cause when it gets to 13/14C and we are in t shirts you lot are still in coats 😂 so it does go both ways 😎

Composting toilets sound interesting 😂 and don’t think I could manage a cold shower 🥶
One other thing as you drove through the river. If it’s salt water it can start a van rusting. Good to jet wash the underside if you can.
