The main issue I have with S&box is the fact it's "Gamemodes based" and not "Servers based", let me explain: Let's say, you want to make your own DarkRP server, you need to create an entire gamemode specifictly for YOUR DarkRP server, because when you actually go into the already existant DarkRP section on S&box it doesn't give you a list of all the servers with a "DarkRP" tag, it give you the list of servers only for this specific "DarkRP gamemode" created by someone, so EVERY servers in this DarkRP section will be exactly the same. After multiples tests on the S&Box beta I'm personally not a fan for now, yeah for sure the game is looking good, but this "Roblox" way of managing the gamemode... humm... not really a fan.
While this is a hassle, they’ll most likely look into more quality of life aspects near the end of development, I’m sure it won’t be that tedious forever.

Harry himself confirmed that he plans to work on it for another ~20 years. he's also going to ditch the workshop, which makes the game even worse. Right now you can't play any community modes simply because they might contain malware. The sandbox mode itself was removed from the game. and the lack of need to install addons is bad. imagine searching in the gmod menu for the prop you need among ALL existing fan props?

S&box isn't supposed to be a game - it's supposed to be a way to open Source 2 to the public. S&box is still very early in development, it's not meant to be playable, so nothing's wrong with Facepunch deleting original sandbox mode to improve it. S&box is gonna be a lot more better than Gmod with its outdated Source 1 engine
Roblox is not a game. Roblox is a platform. You cannot play roblox, just the games inside of it created by other users in roblox studio. It’s better to call it a gamebox than a game within a game.

Before I would of agreed with this. However there has been a big push more recently with servers and add-ons similar to garrys mod. It's a bit of both, but could take over Garry's mod easily
@@Eridium77 Sadly the game has a pretty small community at the moment. I think once this is out to more people's hands, it will pick up so fast. Right now, it's impossible to get any good servers going without a group of friends to start up something that people will be willing to join. :(
I think the start you said... "Roblox is like a game in a game." Isn't garry's mod and sandbox the same thing in this aspect? I'm not saying they're the same thing of course but wouldn't it be better to say "Modding tools which is easier to use compared to garry's mod." ?

I don't understand why people keep thinking s&box is gonna replace garry's mod. It's not. It's a completely different game. The game is going to COEXIST alongside garry's mod. that's the entire point of why it exists. Otherwise they'd make literally Garry's Mod 2.
I know what you're saying but I guarantee you it's going to be really good. It may not be better than Garry's mod in every single way but it looks very comprehensive and we're going to be able to have access to so many different game modes that actually function and don't have to deal with the broken LUA coding that Gmod is tied down to. I think what people are going to create is going to be spectacular and it's going to be probably a better seller if I had to guess
@@Eridium77 most of the people play role play, and they just want s&box to improve their possibilities of role playing. They surely will not go back to gmod to play rp. But, even if s&box will add all the other type of games like murder, prop hunt etc.. I think that few people will launch the game again to play them because there is nothing to upgrade for this type of mini games and so they will stay for nostalgia and to feel home

The search bar has filters for game modes. You just set it to RP servers and bam dark rp servers.
