Except for the wait time and sitting hassles, I like this restaurant and it's food. My favourite being the Tawa Bheja Fry with Rumali roti.
As it is famous that people staying at The Taj come here to eat, I witnessed it myself. Sometime in 2001, I was seated at a table alone and a foreigner joined, we began to chat. I found out that he was from Australia and was staying at the Taj since last 3 days. On his second day he discovered BadeMiya while on a stroll and gave it a try. And since then he has been eating here.
That food looked mouth watering

Food is reviewed by persons from different locations - MUMBAI & DILLI. 👍

It would be a waste of my hard earned money to come here again as I am one of many who believe the place runs just because of the name. On one occasion me and a few of my friends complained to the cooking staff about the meat being tough and extremely salty to which I was casually told that "aaj gosht gala nahi hai" as if he was doing people a favour by feeding them substandard food. Standing around cars and eating "not so great food" after paying a lot is sadly glorified here. Try Baghdadi nearby that does an excellent job serving really good food instead.
Majority of south mumbai Mughlai hotels are overrated hence I prefer tawa food from which you don't expect more and also doesn't get disappoint.

Buddy there was a time when people use to stand in que even at odd hours late in the night for the quality of there food. Bade Miya has dropped the quality of there food. As per the ambiance and quality, the price of all the food items has
drastically high. However next to Bade Miya there is a very old restaurant called Bagdadi. Foreigners who stay in Taj hotel also come to enjoy the authentic food at Bagdadi. They have still maintained the quality and price of the food.

Bademiya is just a name now, i have been eating there from last 10-15 years but it has lost the taste that they use to serve, it feels very disappointing that they use to be one of the bests but not now there are other joints who serve better then them but they are featured anywhere. e.g bagdadi just right around the corner

Me and my family along with my friends were highly disappointed and I was embarrassed as I had recommended them the place based on this guys recommendation.
