hey robbie.. my names Jak and im 13 years old and alot of people get mixed up if my name is Jack or Jake (its Jack without the c) and i just want to say keep up the good work!! you have inspired me to go fishing a lot more then I used to. I used to only fish with bait but now i with some of your favourite lures such as the codger and the old mate lures. My biggest cod has been caught on bait and it was a 82cm Murray cod! And i really just want to say a huge thank you to you for getting me addicted to fishing again because if it wasnt for you i would of caught that cod.

Thanks mate. haha That has always been the aim of my channel. To document my adventures. The successful trips, the not so successful trips, falling over etc... At a rough guess I think I have broken 8 fishing rods and fallen on my butt 6 times on this channel. hahaha Oh... And had rods pulled into the river and watched my crayfish bait roll down the bank and into the river. hahaha

Thanks mate. haha That's awesome. I worked out years ago that the best way to troll a number 1 stumpy is to lay the rod directly over my sholder so that is follows the kayak, that way it prevents steering it. LOL

Snap head and flapper lmao, how hot has it been in the Wangaratta area I have been camping on the king for the past few days unfortunately it’s been quite slow fishing only the one fish but it’s my first from your area.
Haha thanks mate. Its been bloody shocking hasn't it. I've fished the King a few times this year and found the same. Quite slow. A couple here and there in between the fishless trips.

Hi Jimmy, I use Mustard Fastach clips. I prefer the 100lb clips. Initially they were sponsored. Wilson Fishing sent me a couple of packs about 4 or 5 years ago. I love them, and trust them.
At $7 per bag I prefer top just pop into my local tackle store and but them. I am 100% positive that if I called Wilson they would send me a few packets, they're a wonderful company, but I prefer to just go in and buy them and support my local tackle store. I have used a lot of different clips in the past, but these are the best that I have used. The 100lb are the best. 65lb work but can be a bit more fiddly to rig up. I have them as spares in case I run out. I have never used the heavier ones. I hope this helps mate.
And to be honest, even if they were sponsored, I would not use them if I didn't like them myself. I would send them back. I have far too many people watching me to copy me and buy a crap product just because I recommend it if I don't like it. My reputation is worth a bloody lot more than a $7 pack of line clips. LOL

Thanks mate. It is so hard to say. I am a huge fan of these Old Mate lures, also of the Predator lures. When it comes to surface paddlers I love the 70mm Koolabung Codwalker, but I am also a big fan of these Codger jointed surface lures (Theres links to all of these in the video description).
But then there's the Chasebaits Smuggler as well ... etc... There's so many to choose from mate. Possibly too many. haha

Hey Robbie, how’re you liking the Tatula compared to your other reels?
G'day Mitch, absolutely loving it mate. Amazing reel. The Shimano Curado's that I was use to were good, but they dug into in index finger a bit. The Tatura is perfect. They're both great reels but I think I prefer the Tatula.
I have the smaller brother, the Fuego on my yellowbelly rod, and that is possibly my favourite reel. It's a beautiful little reel and quite a lot cheaper.
