  • Anthony is "back" from Las Vegas summer league with plenty on the mind. He discusses all of what he heard while in the desert and where things stand as the Lakers still very clearly need to improve their roster.
Then, he discusses Pete Zayas leaving the Lakers and how they just can't stop screwing what should be very easy things up.
To wrap things up, seeing as he hasn't spoken to the live audience in a while, he takes questions from the iTunes and live mailbags.

The Lakers' front office is probably the most inept, incompetent, and disrespected front office in the NBA!!! Every team in the NBA is willing to upgrade their rosters by making BOLD MOVES while the Lakers are TALKING ABOUT CONSIDERING MAKING BOLD MOVES!!!! Nothing is being done, nothing has changed and will not change at this rate!!! I have no faith in this front office and don't see the Lakers winning another Championship until the current front office is replaced!

Honestly, I'm just not sure any of this matters. As long as R. P. is in charge, no progress is possible. He's consistently and persistently incompetent.

The biggest problems last year were defense, especially point of attack, and rebounding. These problems have not been addressed and doesn't look like they will be before the season starts. But then again, FO decision makers include Pelinka and the Rambi, so it makes sense that nothing has happened.

Can't disagree with that.. it's why Jonas should have been target 1A at the start of FA adding a B-level big ...once Cam opted in shipped him off with a second rd pick to Detroit. The FO has way way to many cooks in the kitchen so nothing ever taste right.

This front office has held back this team, specifically LBJ & AD, so much it’s insane. Don’t wanna hear the Russ excuse. ANY competent FO across the NBA vetos that trade idea immediately, no matter wtf its players say. Unfortunately that’s just the tip of the iceberg. They haven’t even gotten a damn big for AD 😂.

How do you feel about starting are only “2-way” players in Christy and Vincent to go along with our “big-3” in AR LB AD
    Pg Vincent
    Sg Reaves
    Sf Christy
    Pf Lebron
    C AD

I think the lakers should take step by step by executing the easier moves first before going to the difficult ones. For instance, the easiest so far is to shred salaries to sign quality guys like Gary Trent, Jr. and/or trade for Nets Sharpe & once they have Trent commit to sign. they go to that trade whether for Kuz DFS or J Grant or the Jazz Kessler & Sexton. That way they are assured to get Gary Trent, Jr. 😮& they could wait for the better deals later but w/ Trent & Sharpe they have already improved.

Anthony has one the most negative pods. Day in day out. Meanwhile without the team, what content does he have? Wonder what will happen now that one of his “sources” left the team.

Oh goodie. Another moan-fest disguised as honest reporting from the 1 trick pony. Here’s some actual truth; if DLo is just able to sustain his regular season performance into the playoffs - the Lakers win the 2023 NBA title - and none of this stuff reaches the light of day. Because winning always shuts up even the biggest ambulance chasers.
