  • A better way to get the pins in
This will work for the models:
    Juliet
    Mars
    Xx metal x
    NOTE:
in the Oakley penny frame seems to me the pins are larger, be prepared with a flat head screwdriver.
I will make a video for that specific frame.

    Next video,
How to make gasquet for any model.
    (Yes any model,
why pay $ 12.00 for 2 little piece of plastic?)

Thank you so much for such a great video. I've been looking for this kind of video for the past 20 years! 😍

i had more success with long nose pliers, covering one side with cloth (or heatshrink tubing) the other bites on to rivet. I had to apply very little force as i could align it with my other hand. With the hammer you don't have spare hand to adjust the alignment - it has to go through true and it will go through with relatively little force if it is correctly aligned and 'snap' when it has gone through.

Very good news! Oakley is selling again rubber kits for Oakley Juliet I believe $10 .00 the whole set, if you can not find it, the place to look for EVERYTHING Oakley is:
      Oakley forum.com
      The Oakley's brotherhood.
      Or eBay.

So I've been trying to get my Penny's fixed. Followed the steps in the video. Pins were tough to get out, and then to put them in they pushed most the way in fine, then I started gently tapping to get them in, then harder, and then ALOT of force and I still can't get the pins in. Any ideas? Here is a picture of how far the pins are through. - www.screencast.com/t/tAreIbSP
