- Chicken Noodle Soup! A hearty, nutritious, and delicious chicken soup recipe for cold winters with a complete menu idea. Here is the written recipe: www.turkishfoodtravel.com/202...
Ingredients For Chicken Noodle Soup:
For chicken stack
2 chicken thighs or 3-4 drumsticks with bones (I cut whole chicken, after keeping the breast and thighs used the leftovers for the soup)
4-5 tbsp vegetable oil to fry
3-4 cups water
salt, pepper, bay leaves
For the soup base:
3-4 tbsp olive oil
1 onion
2 carrots
2-3 cloves of garlic (optional)
1 heaped + 1/2 tbsp flour
chicken stack from the chickens + more hot water if needed
about 1/2 cup +1 tbsp orzo or vermicelli pasta (I used mixed since I didn't have enough:)
salt, pepper, juice of a lemon
a handful of chopped parsley
I completed the menu with:

These recipes look very appetizing, thank you. Watching your cooking videos always makes me hungry. I make chicken noodle soup as you do, except I use homemade wheat flour noodles (soba style) instead of rice or vermicelli. The taste would be about the same, I think, I just love slurping up those soba noodles! LOL Occasionally, I do make chicken rice soup with tomatoes, but I always add fresh whole baby okra when the soup is almost done and braise it in the oven, finishing with a few minutes of broiling for a browned crunchy top. I also make green beans with tomatoes, like you, but I use whole string green beans, onions and quartered tomatoes, again, braised in the oven, finished with broiling. Sometimes, I add cheese (or seasoned bread crumbs) to the green beans right before the broiling. Your seasoning techniques are about the same as mine for both these dishes.
