the soul yearns for teaching, fish love is passing, it is consumed digested and gone.... but what is taught... it lasts for the rest of your life and continues on, to live in others, and into the distant future.
It’s so beautiful to hear a religious leader is so smart that promotes Spirituality in a public video. He’s a very confident individual and I love to listen to his beautiful words of wisdom. Very refreshing.
We love you Rabbi! May God bless you and may you dance with your wife at your Great, Great grand children's wedding! A Catholic helped by your wisdom Sir!
Hello friends I want to say that I am a Jewish guy who lives in Israel and I am not a religious guard ... I think that the rabbi talks about the most important things in life
Yes but instinctually, not because the animal weighed the pros and cons and made a rational decision to act. Animals can nourish and protect their young, dogs can be loyal and comforting to their owners, even save lives, but they live and feel on an instinctual level, not because they have taken an intellectual decision to act. Some of our own acts as humans are instinctual as a parent's love, etc. Rabbi Twerski knew this but he also knew that human beings can rise above their feelings in order to do great things for others; they can "feel" anger and rise above it and refashion themselves into better and kinder and more patient people.
I truly think your mother God bless her soul Dr twerski, she prayed extra during her pregnancy, that is why you become so wise. I wish I was able to hear from you the accuracy of my comment. Being wise and the humble makes you like best gem among other gem. May God bless you.
One thing that has been lost over time is the sense of community, a sense of belonging, and that everyone had a responsibility to that community, a responsibility to each other. Also, the goal of business used to be to bring a service or product to people at a fair price, and the reward for doing that was financial success. Now the goal of business is to make money, and if that is the goal, then anything done in pursuit of that goal is good. Hence, we see widespread greed and corruption not only in business, but in government and in society in general. Things don't always get better with time. I'm afraid we are on a slippery slope heading towards chaos, and G-d forbid war.
Dear Rabbi Twerski, I am humbled by your wisdom and appreciate the insight that you give me. I just disagree with one issue. My dog would have given his life for me. He refused to eat, drink or go outside when my mom had a heart attack. He was more loyal and caring than most humans would have been, so I can't deny the devine spark in his soul.
Marion Sepic your dog, as adorable as it sounds, does not have a choice. It is merely a animal/physical or sytematic reaction triggered by your behaviour. We, human, can be treated with most care and love and can still make a choice not to be grateful in return - or the opposite. If i will provoke your dog it will try to bite me and won't try to understand and overcome the natural reaction. I think.
I appreciate what he says about life in general. His advices are useful to anyone who wishes to become something more. This is not to argue and I imagine him gladly have a friendly debate with me or anyone on whether what he says on animals is true or false but in my view animals do help each other; for example they nurture and protect orphaned toddlers within the herd and yes sometimes they are there to nurture the infants of a totally different kind. Besides, while animals don't consciously look to improve themselfes, they do improve the same way we do through experience. The difference is that we are able to consciously control conscientious self improvement to some extent.
@@fatimahamid7186 As an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Thailand, I learned that clever is the translation of an Asian word that means smart. (Probably Chinese as well.)
@sussch What he's saying is that spirituality is spirituality and religion is religion. Religion possesses spirituality inherently--when the concepts of the religion are valued in the first place. But even those who don't believe in religion (remember: Rabbi Twerski dealt most of his career with people who had some problems including with religion) can still tap into spirituality because we so differ from animals, etc. His idea here is to promote spirituality, not necessarily religion.
I have seen elephants save the life of another species, not family nothing to her but a suffering creature that could not save itself. This was a moving experience. But I'm not disagreeing with what the Rabbi has said.
Animals do it out of instinct... What he means is beyond that, it's planning & thinking about taking those actions... not merely reacting when the situation arises, like in the case of animals saving other animals or humans. When you find a dolphin running a drowned swimmer help club, let me know :P
Your are a very wise person. I like to know which of your parents were wise. My both parents were and are wise, but I didn't, t inherited from them. 3 of my siblings are inherited from them. My both parental and maternal grandparents were very wise. How I ended up being so simple, but smart. Not wise. God bless you.
Many of the things he claims about animals are simply not true. Animals do build relationships. They do practice to better themselves. They can make decisions of what´s right and wrong. etc etc But yes, we are very refined animals so of course we have a greater element of awareness attached to those traits. A language to express it more easily. And a tendency to be very impressed with ourselves and boost our egos. Part of our evolutionary path. And, sometimes, a curse. Like everything.
and what makes us like animals? being selfish, being bad to each other and ext. you are never spiritual when u r dush but a lot of us says they're (spirirual) but they dont, they're much close to behave like animals.
Svaka čast Abrahamu Tverskom i ne mogu obožavati njega već Boga / Hašem/ iz prostog razloga pošto Bog govori preko njega kao preko proroka i postoji potencijalna opasnost da se njemu divim umesto Bogu. A njemu svaka čast služi Bogu amen.
old school philosophy. homo sapiens or genus for that matter, is animal. we are distinct from other species for certain characteristics, cognitive evolution being the most significant developed through many years. from the starting point a wild genus was not all that different from let's say a dog.
i guess he is wrong at the part "animals can not help others" some animals expect help from others and also some are helping eachother. did u watch the video of bear rescuing crow from the pool? except this silly, small detail he is awesome
brsznl , he says animals do not seek to imrpvoe their selves, some animals may become smarter or learn tricks but they don't go out of their way to make an improvement on themselves it's all instinct and just reactions
the thing is that animals might cooperate that you interpret as helping each other and they cooperate to satisfy their needs. i mean not a lion helps the other one just for the sake of helping. human beings do that: )

It is refreshing to hear somebody talk who
Is not trying to impress people.

Very Philosophical Discussion . Excellent Thought and Conversation
i think he is addressing the fact that there is a tangible and intangible aspect to your existence and to avoid seeking extremes.
Excellent!
Thank you for providing such wisdom...to and understanding I've tooken like to God bless you Rabbi D.r Abraham
OMG....THE WORDS ABOUT SPIRITUALITY ARE AWESOME!

Whenver I think of an archetype of an old wise wizard I think about an elder Jew.

Blessing to the rabbi, 2020
Such a smart man, so glad we have him to listen to and inspire us.
I’m speechless
Sometimes religion can be devoid of spirituality and one can get lost in the ritualism of it.
yeah some people miss the point of religion entirely
What are you suggesting? Is he Atheist or what?

Sorry animals do help
Seeing eye dogs and other helper type dogs
May he rip
Ideally, it's supposed to.
One point - dolphins have been known to help drowning people.
Can anyone help me with names of his books
some animal do help others.
My dog knows whats right and whats wrong. I knew he was human lol
Television and magazines
He is an incarnation of Buddha !

i am father of the god jesus christ thank you

Are u aware most people on our planet earth still live in hardship?
Animals can have empathy, one dog saved its owner from a snake, and even died doing so.
I love this man but animals do help each other.
