There is something about both teaser and gameplay trailer gave me some thoughts about the base building section.
Not only you can considered this game a 'strand-game', but also the base building at the hub... It reminds me of Factorio and Satisfactory...
Something to add. Our little Ch'en here also wields (or mimics) Chi Xiao. She says Ch'en's catchphrase "Chi Xiao Unsheath!" on the demo vid.
It's a sigh of relief to me that Endfield isn't open world tbh, not everything needs to be unnecessarily big for the sake of it.
Most strongly agreed. Good arrangement of npcs and objects are enough to make a world feel alive.
Reclamation Algorithm being a good example of it.

There's no point for a gacha game to be open world. Once you go through an area once in Genshin, there is nothing to gain from going there again. Since gacha games are so restrictive and they want you to be limited in the materials you can get. An open world makes no sense as there will be no rewards for exploring.
The gacha model is pretty set at this point. Lots to do and gain at the beginning. Then it becomes a 10 minute a day game with extreme gameplay restrictions to prolong the life of the game. This will be nowhere near the popularity as genshin. For one because of not being on a console. And most importantly, Genshin is popular because it's a baby game. It's extremely easy and dumbed down for the brainless thumbless masses. I doubt Endfield will be.
It looks like a large space, but it won't be an open world.
@@Raptchur I mean, this isn’t a strategy game. So it’s most likely going to be like Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc. So I don’t see it being difficult.
Rhodes Island existing means this is likely a sequel, likely following on the events of main Arknights where a goal there is also to 'head to the North for answers'. Knowing the Lonetrail story kind of changes a LOT of how Endfield gets perceived and I do wonder if that's why they've been so slow to release new stuff for it, you really do need its story revelations as a context to really read too much out of Endfield.
I think this could also be a prequel to Ak since you can see the wendigo statue and the fact that the Endministrator is a well-known human and also the aggeloi resemble a lot surtr's demon and it is also said in-lore that beyond the north of ursus lied an ancient civilization but no one has managed to cross those wastelands and survive (there's an implication of ghost/demons infesting that territory).
There's also the fact that babel, as described by closure, is pretty ancient technology even by her standards (considering that she may well be hundreds of years old herself), which makes me wonder if this is was a scenario where humanity made it to the planet but catastrophe stroke and ended up forgetting their origins
@@flyinggecko6617 IS#4 has already explored decently northward, discovered a portal. The game cannot be a prequel because Ancients/Elders were not a thing when the ancient civilization existed. They came after they disappeared and then took over Terra from the Teekaz. Not to mention, the biggest indicator is the fact Originium exists in Talos-II implying it cannot be during ancient civ time. Originium did not exist at a certain point during ancient civ era until a certain someone created it. You have originium + ancient race in Talos II, 2 things that were not a thing in ancient civ. And if they happened after ancient civ disappeared then they have no technological means to reach space since they're not the ancient civ.
There are lots to hope for in endfield ngl...
- in combat, i think switching operators would be interesting if you switched to the operators perspective rather than swapping the two operators, similar to games like LEGO series, FF7 remakes, FF15.
- Instead of artifacts, modules could play a part when it comes to the gear to give a fixed but rewarding payoff, with a leveling system that upgrades operators, just like ak
- I think the mastery system from ak could also work in endfield, another payoff for min maxing an operator
- raids being a thing and it being a way to somehow farm rare mats or even reward gear. And in the future, i think there should be a feature that helps in the raids like assigning NPC helpers or defensive buildings like turrets
- implement the rest of the class types and archetypes of course
- consumable items and battle items (like what we get in the integrated Strategies gamemodes)
- a menu for you to be able to pick what action to do similar to FF7 remake for more simplified gameplay
- have 1-7 be a thing in endfield lel
Let them cook for one or two year more. I don’t want them to rush. I want them to progress their game into the best dish of all gacha game.

i really really love how the game seems to be about exploration and resource gathering, this is the part that got me the most excited

that being said I'm scared AF about the combat being "Anime Hack-n-slash" but i liked the idea of being a Xenoblade-like combat far more
Finally an anime rpg where our party members are actually in the world fighting and exploring with us instead of only one character on the screen and switching out. Makes me feel like im in an actual party

well, currently Angelina in Endfield is a clone of R.I. Angelina, and from what said Kyostin playing tech demo, events of the game is somewhere 500 years after Arknights storyline.

The game is all what I hoped for. Tho I wish for more Base Defense/Tower Defense involved
Base Defense/Tower Defense is actually the main factor in this game, you aren't just building the base and forget about it, you would have to defend it.
They're probably just not showing it yet. Kinda pointless if the whole base building is just for you to craft and progress characters.
The Endministrator is a human. Well, this game is a game mechanics of Defense Strategy for build headquarters base and mmorpg. And game mechanics combination of FF16 and Starcraft. Well sure this game won't "End" well
If it really is Angelina, I am curious about her lore on how she got there. Maybe through her arts? Cryostasis? Isekai? Time Travel? I NEED LORE..

I left hoyo community for many various reasons but im looking forward to this game~

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that the game borrows mechanics from Death Stranding.
The way buildings are created through 3D-like printing/hologram. Even the zip lines are similar where you build connectors that lets you traverse through different lines. It even has similar "web lines" effects when using them.
Gameplay is closer to Xenoblade series. Where you use 4-Players in a crowd style of game. It's not Genshin or any other Open World Anime Gacha style game. It's real time 4-Player party that uses skills simultaneously. It's more similar to Aether Gazer (Instead of 3 members). It even has real time party member switching as seen here 4:32

I'm definitely interested in the game, but I need to see more gameplay on it as in more enemies on the map, high skill animations being activated etc.
We'll see how this goes, but it's look promising!
I also thought about Death stranding. It's a great game, so I have very high expectations.
Not really hyped about the game anymore. Unless there's major lore link to main game, it feels like multiverse take, with familiar faces being mostly easter egg. And if game features the same RNG loaded equipment grind like Genshin or Star Rail, thats going to be a pass for me. Certainly it can be expected Endfield won't repeat mistake of f2p generosity with premium currency to get skins with.
Here is some though of me about combat system. They applied some mechanic of Xenoblade or FFXII in their gameplay. You can swap Character if you want at any time. Let's look at skill. I think each character have 3 skills and 2 passive skill like Arknight. You can only choose one active skill for each character. When you click the shortcut of skill in combat, it will automatically change character and execute their skill. If you swap character fast enough you can create combo skills (For example in Xenoblade: Break>Tople>Lauch>...). We also see each character have element bellow the name. That's new and could lead to many things may happen.
More than this we can saw the circle like a clock outside the skill which have 5 parts. It is full when you do normal attack. Which mean the Ultimate of Skill can be executed when it's full. Look at cutscreen of Dragon girl. It's Ultimate skill when clock is full. For example: Skill Fire (5 tiers) is stronger for each tiers and you can execute anytime you want. If it is full you can excute Ultimate skill Dragon Fire...
Definitely I'm not prepared for that ending

I'm really not fond of RPG Open World even more so if it's MMO (which hopefully Endfield won't be) but I'll give this a try since I loved Arknights too much.
Well, its neither an Open World nor and MMO so, you are in luck
Some of the biggest things I like about Arknights are the world and characters (Terra's mix of modern, fantasy, and light sci-fi is handled in a fresh way you don't usually see elsewhere), so even if it's in the same universe with some connections, it being a different world with different characters has me going, hmm... I dunno.
Excellent touch at the end there with the THREE doctors.

They need to figure out a new way to do live service, extended life games. The gacha system is extremely predatory and overpriced as can be. They are too greedy, and if struggling for money, too inefficient. I hate government, but this crap needs policed before there are zero games left that aren't trying to rob and trick you.

A minor detail but very interesting is there's no mention of "Originium infection" or rock on character body

I love Arknights and I like how sleek this new game looks, but I do have several concerns, one of them being the game being primarily just running around 90% of the time in barren wastelands spawning resource nodes. We'll see though, it will have to stand strong on its own, since it will very unlikely be using (most) characters and worldbuilding that exist in the main game.
In trailer, there's the Rhode Island (Land Ship) in Roaddo Rola Da!! post. I wonder, who threw The Rhode Island all the way up there!?

Pretty much. GI is too big of a success to not "get inspired" by some of the ideas, especially of monetary kind.
Im probably in the minority but I just dont see the genshin comparisons lol. At most it feels like death stranding mixed with Tales of and/or FF12 and Xenoblade. Maybe the equipment stuff feels a bit like them but even thats stretching it.
@@grimmlow5935 You can refer to Kyo's Analysis on the trailer. But in short, me and the others are talking about the character interface/building is the same and the gacha model.
E.g. you got character level limits instead of promotions. You got default attack, skill and ultimate (HSR). You got character and weapon, which implies weapon banner. And you got equipment, which is artifacts/relics.
I don't think I will be playing endfield. I was hyped before, but now I'm sort of on the bench with this one.

The only evidence we need to know whether this is a prequel or sequel is Patriot statue (whether this is a vision of sorts because Angelina), or the existence of sarkaz/sankta in the game.
As we know sarkaz are native to Terra, and the Ancestors came and practically colonized Terra. Some sarkaz then worshipped the Law and become the sankta. If the game contains either race, this means it take place in the future, if not then it might take place in the past.
There is also another case with what Terra originally named as. We don't know if Talos II is the name given to the planet by the Ancestors and if the knowledge actually have been passed down.
There is also yet another thing with "who" are the Ancestors. Are they simply normal humans with no discernable properties or they just references technologically advanced "humans" who lived in the past.
The rhodes island logo isnt much of an evidence as one of the dialogues mention that Rhodes Island and the logo are the name and logo of the landship Kaltsit and Theresa found. The logo later is reused and changed into Babel before reverted after the fall of Babel.
But in Endfield Rhodes Island become some kind of Mega-corp manufacturer

Or right don't forget the fact that Doctor and Priestess did work on past Rhodes. And since both were researchers, i took rhodes being a research/medical company as granted.
@@Kends175 Rhodes Island was under the earth before Kal Sit choose to unearth it during Babel times to repuprose it into a mobile Landship for Theresa plans. Its implied that the core structure of Rhodes Island is that of a sci-fi space ship on top of the Doctor being called the highest authority by the core AI after Doc wanted to search for information about Priestess.
So seeing Rhodes Island logo stuff in Endfield is a hint for sure. But if its the past or future idk. Because sci fi tech can exist in both time periods due the Ancients or Terra naturally advanceing. Especially since Lone Trailer is such a important Event story for space shenanigans & the Doctors identity.
i dont have a pc and my phone cant definitely handle this game, so im guessing that i will play this game on computer shop near our house, guess I'll use emulator for this game

Summery: I'm a bit skeptical of it so far and so far it doesn't bring anything exciting to gaming in general.
Actual Analyzes:
2:27 Since there is multiple Rhodes Island icons on items this makes me think it takes places alongside or a bit in the future of Arknights.
Angelina's Outfit is part of Bloodline of Combat/Distinguished Visitor and states "The outfit worn by Angelina while she was stationed at the 2nd Final Defense Front. The substance of reality slowly flows between her fingers and her tools." Since we have access to the outfit in Arknights and she's implied to be more experienced I assume it takes place alongside Arknights. I'm unsure if her race has a prolonged lifespan.
2:34 I'm not sure how accurate the genre classification is but the combat reminds me of Xenoblade Chronicles or Genshin Impact which are soft MMO style of games or a "Soft Action" game as I'll refer to it. RPG for me is used more for games where you actually role-play and decisions make significant changes to the world but I don't think that will happen in Endsfield just like how your choices don't matter in Arknights and pretty much all other gachas games (idk why they have rpg).
I don't know where "strategic element" comes from but I guess the closest thing to it would be the builder aspect of the game but we don't know how significant that is. It could be like the base in Arknights where there isn't much depth to it and it ends up being a chore to manage.
2:39 I don't think it will be pure-open world either. The ziplines made the world look significantly bigger than it really is due to the gaps you traversed being bigger or as big as the areas you could walk on so the world might be segmented and have a lot of empty space. For comparison I will bring up Ubisoft games and Elden Ring. Endsfield so far reminds me of Ubisoft where the world is just a lot of nothing. I hope this is just a VERY early build and it ends up more like Elden Ring where the world is actually very dense and full of content. My first playthrough of Elden Ring felt overwhelming since the world was not only huge but every minute of traveling I found a new area to explore.
2:46 due to this I think it's going to be more like Genshin and I don't like Genshin Impact.
Overall Thoughts: So far it doesn't seem worth it unless you are interested in the characters/lore OR relation to Arknights. The world reminds me of a more stale or greyed out borderlands but as an "open-world" it looks mainly barren and deceptively smaller than it portrays itself. The combat looks mid but watching how slow it was to defeat fodder enemy and very likely going to have a gatcha/gear system of Genshin it will remove a lot of skill expression and play tediously FOR ME, I don't know how most people feel about it but I generally play games like Sekiro, Ninja Gaiden and DMC/Bayonetta which are all games that allow high skill expression.
I'll still try it out since I enjoy casual games once in a while but if the dialogue ends up with the same issues of Arknights I might drop it. Arknight's dialogue is pointlessly long and not concise so I don't read it anymore due to not having as much time as I used to have (thanks for summery videos!). I'll also drop it if it's as repetitive as Genshin or the gacha is bad, I don't like when gear and characters are in the same banners.
My conclusion is you just shouldnt play. The game isnt even genshin like. Pointlessly long analysis for something not have much to show just like AK dialogue
@@shutup1037 I am still willing to try it out. Based on previous experiences and similar looking games it just doesnt have high expectations from me. Hypergryph also doesnt have experience with this combat system.
The game also is not out yet so they could make changes to it before release making my analyzes inaccurate compared to the official release.
Most likely its going to be free so at the literal worse I use a few hours confirming either I hate or like the game.

Maybe you didn't realize I was comparing the combat and equipment system to Genshin and other games with similar gameplay. I was NOT comparing the world of Endsfield to Genshin if you needed the clarification and more context.
As for comparing them to the open worlds of Ubisoft and Elden Ring I was just hoping the world of Endsfield ended up dense with content and not too much empty areas.

I’m hoping it’s a premium game. It probably isn’t going to be one since gatcha games just make more money than a normal one time purchase game but I can dream I guess.
This being available for mobile too pretty much confirms it’s a gacha unfortunately
some of the stuff reminds me of Honkai star rail but more…. arknightsy? (but that’s probably because I’ve been playing that game for a bit now😅)
