You have to love the fact that colin wouldnt cross the line with Marina and yet with Pen he was completely inappropriate with her in the carriage and hadnt even announced any intentions until after
With some people... like Whistledown mentioned, you become reckless. Admitting his own feelings to then learn that they are reciprocated back... I would've lost my ability to think clearly in the moment as well...
The human brain stops thinking about social acceptance when in-love.
I loved how colin unmasked with his mother about the love between friends and Violet realized that her son was really in love with Penelope. It was extremely tender and painful to see how her mother sees that Penelope is leaving with Lord Debling. She sees his face as if He turned into a child and Penelope's tears left her cold when she saw Colin so close to her, it was more than a statement.
Yes I LOVE Violet and the actress does such a wonderful job expressing that tender and understanding look a good mother has. Plus making sure to tell Colin about the proposal before leaving for the ball… SHE KNEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING 😂❤
In the book Violet saw years before that it’s Penelope who Colin should marry and wanted it for them. She saw it in them growing up. So yeah this momma knew exactly what she was doing.
OMG! I know....Penelope's mother is like an Evil Stepmother....Colin's mother is nice and supports her son!
@@grammydhicks3566 it was really nice to see it play out in the show because after his talk with her....his mother watched Colin from the sidelines as he walked up to Penelope....and after that ball...she walked into his study to ask him if there was something more he wanted to discuss....of course Colin said no there was nothing....but mother knows best....especially when Colin didn't feel like going to that other ball until his mother let him know that Penelope was going to get proposed to....which made Colin come to his senses that he needed to go and get his girl Penelope....the love of his life! And what makes it eve better with Colin & Penelope is that their relationship was based on friendship first which is definitely how it should be done.....having to be forced to marry someone isn't right....and that is pretty much how the other girls find their mate....which seems so wrong...Colin & Penelope's love story is a very special one for that exact reason! Friends to Lovers! Polin is by far the very best couple in this whole show!
Violet is so observant. I love her facial expressions when her kids are with their soon to be spouse. It’s the best “hmmmm interesting” look.

@@marissa._ It's more about wanting Pen to feel wanted and feel his love after so many years in love with him. In the books, he's 33 and she's 28 and she's loved him since she was 16. I just wanted him to show a bit more effort. That's all.
I adore their trope, and their growing feelings and undeniable chemistry to each other.
The actors make this whole thing a couple to hope for because their chemistry is so amazing!
I love the scene when they are super awkward after their kiss😂❤

Just realizing that the brooding Bridgerton bros that have fallen in love both just have no idea what to do with it and their mom has to kinda push them to not screw it up!
What is actually beautiful in their love story is the fact that Penelope always knew that she was in love with Collin but that was not the case for him.
He loved her but did not know that.They grew together and Colin has never seen Penelope like a woman because he never saw her been courted.He was kinda saying to himself that how he felt about her was friendship because he never experienced a situation where he could lost her.
Once he came back,he was indeed popular and obviously had sex with multiple women,but like he said in his diary,he felt empty anyways.
But it only took one kiss for him to feel otherwise.And the fact that at the same time he was experiencing those feelings,he had to see Pen been taking away from him,make him realize that he was in love with her.He always had but never knew.
That development is really amazing!
Unlike any of other Bridgerton stories the story of Penelope and Colin was brewing for 2 seasons,and then cut it in two part seasons 😂

I loved how Penelope fell in love with Colin with just a simple and tender kiss, it drove Colin crazy, for the first time I saw a Colin in love, eager for Penelope's attraction and friendship, it was total, the dream was incredible, he was extremely passionate, and then when he is going to take tea With his brothers he talks in different meaningless ways which makes them laugh. It was the best thing to see him as a child seeing Pen as the only thing on his mind was the best feeling.
I especially loved when he went to the "revelry" and he realized that he wasn't enjoying other women's attentions anymore. :D
Him starting at her mouth as she eats the pastry is the same as when Daphne was staring at Simon licking the spoon when he was eating ice cream 😂😂

The chemistry is chemistrying
I feel like a recap of their storyline should have been made as a promotion.....it would have added meaning to where we are at when we start the season. As it was it felt rushed.

This is by far my favorite season. My heart melt when they kissed the first time and damn with the second time. I'm glad he realized how much he really loves her
I love how the three times Penelope get’s into a carriage is also a show of the progression of their relationship.
1. She leaves the party after Cressida ruins her dress and then tells him he hurt her and he is in shock; he doesn’t chase after her and he goes to see her the next day.
2. She leaves the party after everyone finds out that he was helping her; he runs after her, but is delayed by Eloise and shows up at her house a couple hours later and they kiss and he is shocked again.
3. She leaves the party after Lord Debling retracts the proposal and he chases down the carriage; they act on their feelings and THAT scene happends and he is shocked AGAIN and he proposes to her. 💚💛💚💛💚💛💚

Colin knows that Penelope has seen him in his handsome form with his funny personality even before he lost weight and got so sturdy which turned young women's eyes....

I love seeing the growth both have experienced during their own journeys. To see how their paths were separate and yet now, their paths finally crossed. I can't wait to see the second part of season 3 and see how their relationship develops with Lady Whistledown's secret. ❤❤

Yes, I am super anxious. It can NOT spoil the love...both times she was protecting Eloise and Colin. She never did it to be mean, she saved Eloise from being charged by the Queen as Lady Whistledown and she saved Colin from eloping in a marriage trap. Granted he said he would have done it even if he had known, and Penelope had her own selfish reasons but still both times were to stop something bad. She even outed herself this season for the help from Colin. I'm hoping they eventually see that.

Absolutely worried about it....Especially when he already confessed his feelings to her and asked her to marry him....because now he's going to be mad at her I mean he was barely bad about her reading his journal....but he's most liking going to be more mad at her about the LW thing....but I guess it also depends on how it all plays out....because at this point it is a bit different from the book!
Chapter 4 was a work of art, love, fun, drama, pain, desolation, sadness, passion, desire, it was totally the best chapter, simply the power of Polin, it was chapter 4 that I missed more chapters but I'll wait 28 days
