- Notre Dame has produced a lot of good NFL prospects and players, but Will Fuller was one of the most highly toughted ones of the 2010's. He was a first round pick and a projected NFL star, but his NFL career did not go as planned and some call him an NFL draft bust. Today, we are going to explore that narrative, go through his career and talk about what happened to Will Fuller, enjoy!

Who should I do next?
Are you interested in going back in time ??, if so , speaking of Notre Dame , do a video about Rick Mirer .

Tank Carder, TCU Star Linebacker of the GP era

It’s shocking he hasn’t landed on a team. He’s a VERY fast WR with good size. That is like gold in the NFL. I don’t think he’s interested in football any more cuz if he really wanted to play, he easily could
But he does have butterfingers
Story of TCU Linebacker Tank Carder. Arguably one of their most iconic defensive players of the Gary Patterson era.
The reason why I wore every arm band I could find
As a Texans fan I can definitely say his health was a major issue, then you can blame Bill O’brien & the front office for the rest of the team’s struggles
Texans fan here and Notre Dame is my 2nd favorite college football team. I was so excited we got Fuller and I even have his jersey, but it’s unfortunate how his career turned out because of injuries
ND alum from Houston (defacto Texans fan) I definitely think he could have had a better career being drafted by a different franchise.
@@catOwnerJB most definitely
@@catOwnerJB honestly, I’d say had he come in under kubiak there’s no telling where his career would’ve gone. Him and everybody else who left (including Watson Ik Ik)
As a ND fan from Texas, he has been my favorite receiver to watch and I rock his Texan jersey still.
I always had him on my fantasy football team. He was always hit or miss.I always had to due a ton of research to see if I was going to play him.
All I know is when this guy was on the field he was easily the best receiver on the field. The dude could catch and ran past anyone on the field. The guy just couldn’t stay healthy! But he’s a free agent rn, idk why no one has signed him yet. Hopefully he’s still available next year so Texans can sign him.
Fuller on the Texans was elite! I watched him go from my favorite college team to my favorite nfl team, he’s one of my favorite players ever
I remember once this dude only had like 30 catches but for like 9 TDs lol
Then the only time he stayed healthy and put up numbers was when he was taking the juice
@@sld_gloccem he did
Will fuller is made of glass that’s the only reason why I’d say he’s a bust. On the field he was good not great but had the potential to drop 50 in fantasy one week every year. The reason I don’t think he’s on a team now is he’s just mainly a deep threat without great hands or a diverse route tree he’s a limited WR who can get 2-4 catches and 30-60 yards a game on avg.
He was no where near a bust
@@AndreKing4 I don’t think he is I meant if you were to call him one it would mostly be because of injuries
I was just thinking about him right before you uploaded this
Will use to be in the same 7th Grade class room as me he would play Football in the gym me an other classmates would try to tackle him down but could never catch his Fast Ass that's when I knew he was going to be a Football player one day 😂
@@hakeemfb3 too bad his body couldn't keep up with his talent.
I’m really glad it’s not just me thinking about how good of a player he was, especially my team the Texans. (When healthy of course.) he was a solid player overall. Nice to see his name still be thrown out.
As a bears fan I don't see why they shouldn't give him a chance in the slot and to give them a deep threat. Im a notre dame fan as well. He was electric in college. Really wish his nfl career turned out better
The Bears need to give anybody a chance at WR at this point
You're a bears fan? Ha! Sucks to be you son. I wouldn't go around telling people that you're a bears fan though. Why bring that kind of shame upon yourself willingly son?
I am a die hard Notre Dame and Dolphins fan. I think Will was a hard worker and a low 2nd high 3rd round draft pick. He is a solid #2 option as a receiver. Unfortunately, by the time will got to Miami he seemed like he just didn't have the right attitude for the NFL anymore. Great receiver, great guy and an receiver.
I’m also a die hard notre dame fan though I’m not the biggest fan of the dolphins but they ain’t the worst.
What evidence do you have that he had an attitude problem? It seems like injuries were his downfall.
Having to deal with injury after injury will wear on your work ethic if you let it. It's hard to have to consistently overcome your body failing you when you want to make it.
I’m kinda curious how Mike McDaniel would use him if the Dolphins kept him.
Best offense today n fastest offense ever with hill, fuller, n waddle
He wouldn't play at all
He would use him to clean bathrooms and park cars mostly.
It sucks man. He was from my hometown Philadelphia, Pa. I watched him in highschool against my highschool team the Roxborough Indians. He was spectacular against my HS team. I was already out of highschool then in 2006. I watched him go to Notre Dame and be a star. I thought he was going to be real good and suddenly he was off the Texans and I haven't heard from him since. I believe he's still young 28 years old. Man, that sucks to see him out the league with so much promise.
The biggest problem for Will Fuller has been his hamstrings on and off the field. I believe if it wasn't for his legs he'd still be playing and being able to compete for being a top five receiver.
What went wrong for Will Fuller?
Houston
@@sportsbooklab7147 he was good in Houston tho? As soon as he left it went wrkng
Never stayed healthy and was never consistent enough
@@sportsbooklab7147 he was overrated at Houston he dropped a ton of passes and was taking peds, as soon as he got traded away teams realized he couldn’t actually play well, injuries 6 times every season didn’t help either
I always think about how running back is the worst job in all of professional sports. Short career, teams try not to give you big contract, run your into ground. Be interested to see some analysis on how it’s the worst job in sports. So many running backs have come in gone!
They usually end up selling their bodies for crack money or just for the crack itself.
Team in white where #4 hawked him down was my school, I didn’t transfer over until the following year when he was at Notre Dame
Only complete losers and unregistered sex offenders go to notre dame.
You see this all the time, great players with exceptional talent make it to the highest level and then put it on cruise control. They made it, not realizing the extra work to remain.
Every year there is a fresh crop of hungry players looking to take the spot you don't want to work to keep.
Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
subbed👍🏼
What is this instrumental song you are using in this video?
Don’t it’s Think it’s fair calling him a bust simply because he never should’ve been drafted that hard to begin with.
I remember watching him play and how it all played out.
GB should still pick him up for vet min if he can pass physical
Been thinking this all year - he could help them and Rodgers would get him to peak. But something is up that he is not getting any play with several teams with both receiver and speed receiver needs - was hoping this video had some insight on that front.
I was just thinking of will
In his 6 years in the NFL he produced more than some who are still in the NFL. Unfort. it was in Houston but let's face it, drugs are a B.
Drugs? What kind did he used ?
I grew up with fuller and he’s was always a great player as a kid and very fast he was my guy 💯
Cool channel
2017-19. Him, nuke a d deshaun that was the nucleus. Talented WR when healthy that coulda been something but dude would go for 7 tds in like 2 games the get hurt lol
If Fuller was dedicated to the game he'd already be back. Heck, even in the USFL or XFL.
That Notre Dame triple threat was cold. WILL Fuller (cold name 🥶), Chris Brown, and Torii Hunter Jr.
It's crazy how small they look once they are in the nfl
I miss that man at Notre Dame
His first season he had a few issues with drops.....I remember in his first season, it was Texans vs Patriots in the playoffs, the QB was Brock Osweiler,, so we were already at a disadvantage. But that one play, BO threw it downfield and WFV dropped what would have been a touchdown.....the next season, he resolved those issues when we picked up Wes Welker as a wide receivers coach, after that, it became an issue of health and the mismanagement of the team at the hands of BoB and Jack Easterby. I always thought dude had more potential.
Its pretty much what happens to every major "speedy" guy in the NFL. They can't stay healthy, can't stay on the field, and while they provide some highlight reels, the lack of production ultimately dooms them. Will Fuller, Paris Campbell, Hollywood Brown, Tavon Austin, Trindon Holliday, Phillip Dorsett, plenty of others too....
These guys look great in college because they're faster than everyone, and the rules favor offense. In the NFL, they're too small and more often, the defenses are just as fast...
Will Fuller will go down as a Philly legend he played at the same high school as Marvin Harrison
Will use to be in the same 7th Grade class room as me he would play Football in the gym me an other classmates would try to tackle him down but could never catch his Fast Ass that's when I knew he was going to be a Football player one day 😂
Damn I didn't even know homie wasn't even in the league anymore.
Same.
He got busted breakdancing naked in his sister's basement with some local boys. I'm surprised you didn't hear about that as it was a pretty big deal at the time.
I am a die hard ND fan. Not playing, injuries and weed. Downfall. period
Scott Fisher, what happened to the part - and what he is up to now?
he needs to go to Cleveland, he had great connection with Watson
He'll probably get injured again once he plays for the browns
He was so good at Notre Dame
He was a fantastic player, I felt he would be our WR1 in a year when I first saw his film. He was the smoothest player I saw… insane speed!
I would say he is far from a bust, as a player or person. He is a 1st rd draft pick, earned an NFL pension & was able to put together some good seasons, & very impressive highlights!!! I do not understand the reason he has not gotten another chance? The drug suspension is a slap on the wrist at most in the NFL. But he is a ND grad I think? He has a fantastic pension, & is a young man, who has earned some good money. I thought choosing Miami was a disastrous idea, he would agree most likely. Injuries, & an inability to develop consistency due to his limitations are what cost him. Injuries a far & away leader. I wonder if he got reputation as a guy who plays it up, or nurses injuries, or even creates injuries to explain his failures… that is a reputation you can not shake! Fair or unfair, I think teams got sick of the injuries, & blamed him, & they felt he never took rehab as seriously as he should??? I dunno, I am throwing lunch meat at the wall to see if any stick at this point!!! 😂😂😂 I loved his game, & he is a personal favorite of mine at ND! He busted his ass, & played hard at ND I know that
Too bad his bee whole smelled like complete and utter garbage. A dog wouldn't even take a dump in that bee whole it stinks so much like trash.
Will use to be in the same 7th Grade class room as me he would play Football in the gym me an other classmates would try to tackle him down but could never catch his Fast Ass that's when I knew he was going to be a Football player one day 😂
@@hakeemfb3 Sounds believable.
The NFL likes Tight End sized receivers. Guys with Fullers size making six years is not common. Sending him over the middle would be homicide. All credit to him for lasting so long. Before the knee he was as fast as anyone I've seen.
i love will fuller since he’s been in college and i think the chiefs or packers pick him up
Will use to be in the same 7th Grade class room as me he would play Football in the gym me an other classmates would try to tackle him down but could never catch his Fast Ass that's when I knew he was going to be a Football player one day 😂

Will fuller had a 1 good season with Houston Texans. Do Zach Mettenberger Former LSU, Tennessee titan QB.

The Cardinals should sign this guy and team him back up the D Hop he was never a true number one but killed it one the other side of a number 1
He'll get injured once he begins to play
Hope the Cowboys take a chance on him.
Injuries happened, didn't even have to watch this shit to know that. 😂
I’d like to see something on DJ Hayden from UH.
Bryce love. Man dude was explosive
Pee wee football, Jr. high, high school football, college, pro football. The human body can only take so much pounding until weakens or becomes non-functioning, in the form of injuries. The NFL’s name should be change to the NIL, the National Injury League.

It's officially about to be 2024 and idk why he's not signed. He could still be a solid depth piece compared to some of these other trash WR's that get signed
Wasn't the organization. He played with watson most of 17. All of 18-19-20 he couldnt play more than 10 games a season the. The injury bug. Speed kills for sure but if u train hard and perfect your craft u sustain.. Its crazy how dudes with less god given tslent have more success because they work harder
What happen was his team traded their qb
Martavious Bryant Clemson or sammy Watkins
Im sure some team hes better option they should give him a tryout.unless the acl slowed him and thumb made him drop lots of passes
Injuries killed him and what else did he have other than his speed
Route running
What ever happened too Everett Goldson?
He got busted smoking meth with his sister's daughter in their basement together. Not everyone had all their clothes on if you know what I'm saying dawg.
he made 35M in his career, the 10M from miami was free money.
He could have been the best man
David Boston fro. Ohio state
He juiced to the point of being incapable of playing football. Biceps looked like the Michelin Man.
The man who disappeared off the face of the earth
Golden tate from Notre dame
Golden Tate had a pretty nice NFL career. Wonder what he’s up to now
Do chase clay pool
He had some serious injuries to is hand and fingers.
Corey Coleman, drafted 6 spots ahead of him is much more of a bust...both had major injury problems but Coleman lasted much less time in league
He was one of the most unlucky players oat
Hardy nickelson jr
He went to Miami and kept getting injured, the end
He was just as fast as hill or almost as fast. Put 2018-2019 will fuller n hill on that dolphins team n you'd have a actual duo of speed demons. Only difference between the 2 was that fuller was plagued with hamstring injuries n he didn't have much control on his speed like hill does. Waddle has more control but isn't quite as fast. Other words I don't think there will be another tyreek hill ever
Texans killed his career if he was somewhere else he would of been a superstar
We had the elite playoff team until Bill O'Brien stank it up.
Doug Martin
Sadly made of glass.. always injured 😢
The one word in the dictionary that should always wrap up any discussion regarding any Notre Dame football team or most Notre Dame football players should be......overrated!
T J yeldon
He's probably getting hurt as we speak.
Injuries
You left out all the mental health inactive status’s at dolphins???
Dude was just too slight of frame to make it in the NFL.
“Some would consider him a draft bust”? I think we ALL considered him a bust.
Todd
wwwwwwwwww video like all ways Scott Fisher
Never heard of em
Sec only guy
With the dolphins he just quit, he played one game got hurt (finger) and basically just didn’t play again the entire year.
Good riddance
why does this video exist? He was hurt all the time. No team, no employer, wants to pay someone who cant show up. Easy riddle to solve.
He can't catch and got injured too much
Pretty easy. He was like 170 pounds and couldn't stay healthy.
He dropped to many passes for my taste as a pro.
for your taste 😂😂😂
What went wrong? Steroids...
Nothing went wrong. He was from Notre Dame. And as such, he was over-hyped.
just because our team is overrated af doesnt mean the whole damn place and every player is overrated.
Welp, Will Fuller was overrated because he played at Notre Dame. That's what happened to him.
just because our team is overrated af doesnt mean the whole damn place and every player is overrated.
There's a guy called the bus. And there was a little QB that played for us as well, a few years back....
Speed is never overrated by the league, but it is typically the first gift to go away. So GMs always look at speed as finite but useful.
Never heard of this guy don't really care to
