- Too often, withers are used as throwaway word for hypothetical escapes, but I've never seen it be done. No this isn't a traditional escape video, and some people will be very opposed to withers but I think a video like this had to be made eventually.

Im not gonna consider this valid for *obvious reasons* (see edit) but it was a cool take on a universal escape! Bypassing the anvils using regeneration was clever, also the flaw in the anvils you exploited in neptunes monument. Good video
Edit: After talking with ken there are ways to patch the specific method of withering. Not withering in general, but it can be made way harder than this. So imma call this valid, but because of ravens coffins design I cannot patch it. *Valid*

I’m currently making a peaceful mode prison. If it works the way I’m expecting it to then TECHNICALLY this could be patched
But chunkbans needs shulkerboxes, and you cannot get shulkershells in peacefull mode, @Thubb

Well, two ways this can fail, somebody can make so many chunk bans(that would be baby leader zombies with 100 hp), that you can't possibly destroy the bans, or, the more compact version, is to surround the entire prison with block 36...no, that would be explodable
And how exactly would they get the baby zombies to have 100 hp?
This idea of something becoming harder/impossible because of quantity is something I see far too often
Obviously having more wouldn’t do anything practical because they could just build more drills/bores indefinitely

Or you can do flying machines with block dupers in case they use obsidian for their prison. Then u can break the block with a piston, similar to how you do for becrock

a scicraft member illmango made a transportation system with raysworks and gnembon to transport the whole portal 1000 blocks in 20 minutes and it takes 10 minutes to make + you let the prisons get away with millions or billions of crying obsidians .The mashine could be built at many places and you could have a mix of redstone blocks to break flying machines etc.
still begs the question if there is a perfect wall design?
A mix of anvils and bubble collums could work with a detection to suicide if anvils break like a layer of anvils every 5 blocks with a comaparitor by the ban to detect clogging and observers that detect if the comaparitor breaks or just push a hopper onto a armor stand that's detected by string next to a observer
@@Zenos47 Ive had months to study this drill as I got an own similar based on squillys design for pandoras vault also using arrows and 1. Fox bans 2. Spigot 3. Bubble columns, eventualy with waterlogged chests, as against withers they are a good as crying but is annoying for arrows and helps the bubbles. Some anvils but not more than 4 blocks wide at once.

Now on to my main point (rant warning). In the words of our great founder avatardotpng, I don't really see the point of this video tbh.
Is it to educate people about wither drills? Most of Kenadian's viewers have seen the raven's coffin escape already.
To flex that you can escape any prison using this machine? Personally I think a slightly more prison-specific escape is more worthy of celebration. Don't get me wrong, the techniques in this video are clever (I particularly love the killing of the fox in neptune's monument)---- but they're not too interesting on their own.
To notify the prison makers that there are "so many" defences that are immune to this drill but not withers in general?
A. You didn't tell us about them.
B. I doubt that there are "many". Perhaps cobblestone generators or guards killing the withers could be taken as such, but the exact methods shown in this video are already so varied that launching tnt at a cobblestone generator or banning the guards could easily fit in as well.
C. It's hard for me to imagine a non-inane use of withers other than this drill. Perhaps launching a wither and chickens on top of a prison to break through the roof could work (agonisingly slow), or the famed chunkskipping (incredibly hard to pull off).
D. If there are many defences against this drill in particular in all its variations that nobody has implemented yet, massive L on me.

Crucifixion time:
The point of the video was to make new escapes for all the prisons that patched my escapes (Hence why I show the patched escapes at the beginning) And I decided to use withers because they work on every prison and It's something I've wanted to do for a bit because all wither defenses right now are kinda not great
A. Oh no I didn't tell you how to patch the escape in my own escape video??? I'm so sorry. Next time I'll make sure to tell the prison builders exactly what to do to make my escape impossible.
B. List time:
• Fox ban would've worked fine if the gap in the anvils wasn't so long
• Fox ban with lava grid would be best in that context though since that was the hardest to break through
• Baby Zombified Piglin ban for that matter (same range but it can wear blast resistance armor and also heal itself presumably)
• Piglin defense except the first 18 blocks are air (or bubble columns for funzies so you can't even get a wither into a tunnel orientation because you can't piston blocks that far
• Piglin stack (My favorite) virtually impossible to get to without clearing out an area as large as the last thing on this list (And I'm not even giving specifications on what the defense is made of)
• Diagonal anvil x obsidian checkerboard pattern that avatardotpng came up with which makes it impossible to do the roof thing I did in my video
• Mix anvil grid with piglins kinda cracked
• Unloaded chunk glitch krisp came up with. You just sit by chunk and it refuses to let entities into it
• Permunloaded chunks. They have publically stated how to make them and they are yet to be patched in any version of PaperMC
• Bedrock (Can be obtained in 1.17/1.18 using a private exploit. I can let u know if I promise not to tell
• Peaceful mode, this is what Thubb is doing and its not a terrible idea. (Doesn't work for traditional prisons but like... it goes on this list)
• Create a nether mob suppressor and then do several zpi stacks. It's physically impossible to get enough wither skulls in time to get through all zpi stacks. Sure they can get quite a few withers if they got on when the server started and grinded non-stop but you can make the prison big enough to require more withers to break into than they could've possible gotten in that time
C. Spawning chickens at the top of a prison wouldn't work. Not in easy mode at least. Withers simply do not break blocks downward. Also basically everyone uses easy mode. If they didn't the drills would be 1000x times easier to make and thats not even a joke.
D. L but its ok, next time I will make sure to announce patches to my escape in every escape video I do.

-Since withers can break all blocks, no anvil or obsidian pattern will work forever

-You can use tnt launcher instead of arrows for longer range
^^ Summary of above: wither drills are kinda hard to prevent by traditional methods
-Unloaded chunks, permaunloaded chunks, bedrock, and most especially peaceful mode all stop all wither attacks.
-Nether mob suppressor kinda cracked but I digress that is an interesting idea that I've never thought of before. Good point
C. In Sven's stream on Gaia's Vault, withers actually did break blocks downward, and it was, as I said, agonisingly slow. But to be fair there were players there, not chickens

@@Kenadian - server restarts kinda negate a mobswitch. The server HAS to restart occasionally to not crash (and even if it doesn't, you can force a crash using an update supressor ). Then just have an afk account keep trying to relog, and use a hyper efficient farm to get all the skulls needed. 9/10 times your afk account will beat the guards to logging in and restarting the chunkloader for the mobswitch. And if you force a crash at random times, with a random but sufficiently large interval, you'll be guaranteed to get a few skulls. Just keep this up over a week or so and you have the skulls needed.
Edit: there's probably a way to break bedrock at longer range, though I haven't researched the subject.
Also, if you decide to use peaceful mode, have fun getting the obsidian needed through bartering with MANUALLY MINED gold, as you cannot farm gold or obsidian in peaceful mode (as far as I'm aware).
