We, as a fandom, knew all of those explanations but people that are casual listeners and potential fans didn’t know, so it would be better for them to release a video like this every era explaining everything so the mainstream audience understands the lore and listen to their songs more often or even better, it’s fuel for those people to become part of the fandom

My son introduced me to 21 Pilots . The first song he showed me was the video for " Car Radio"....I was immediately and utter hooked. The lyrics, their sound, their whole being is incredible. We saw them in concert together as well. I listen to them every day!! I will be 60 this year. I can't imagine life without them !!

@@SaturnSpotterJust making it to 59 doesn't necessarily make anyone an expert but I think that directing your focus on making a close family and following the things you have a passion for regardless of the financial benefit seems to help you ride through the ups and downs in the long run. I have lost many relatives and friends to the negatives and temptations that surround us, focusing on the responsibilities of family and community is a sound antidote. It's harder now with all the distractions and temptations, however, I think young people should remember that we all had to go through the uncertainty, pain or even fear that you might be feeling.
21pilots music is a great because it is literally all about this struggle with a strong emphasis on family and the internal moral, religious and self beliefs we all have.
I will quote probably the most important line of all from one of their songs that simultaneously brings a sense of joy and a tear to my eyes......keep in mind I have 5 grandchildren along with my 3 sons.
"Find grandparents or someone of age
Pay some respects for the path that they paved
To life they were dedicated
Now that should be celebrated!

This band is one of the main reasons I’m alive today. Before my son died this was our thing. Sitting on the hospital bed diving deeper and deeper into the twenty one pilots universe. Since my Caleb’s death they’ve helped me beyond words of explanation.

The fact that this is finally written out into some kind of story is awesome. I mean, I think its way too good to just be a four minute long short story and needs some kind of full length movie or book but this is still great.

still baffles me how their reputation is the "cringe middle school music" (though i do see the attitudes changing now) when they're literally some of the best storytellers i know. to my knowledge, no other band has lore as detailed as this. besides the music is straight up fire and it's clear that they do this for art not for money. they just keep getting better

I wasn't a huge fan of Heathens (too conventional) so I didn't really listen to their last two albums. I (somehow) assumed they had left their quirkyness behind 🤦🏼♀️😅
Anyway, I had a dance party in my living room yesterday evening and jammed to all of their songs. I felt all the feelings I had as a teenager when I found them for the first time. It was lovely!

I can't believe it, I saw connections in the videos just never saw it, always thought it was just a theme for the album. Now I have to watch these songs in order because they've literally told us a story through music. I grew up listening to this band and I've always loved their lore as it was, and Trench is my favorite album because of how extensive the lore is portrayed and how beautiful each song is.
My best friend and I used to go around wearing yellow duct tape because we both were obsessed with the album.

Tyler's a genius. His kinda thinking is really rare and precious to this world. I love this band. Everything's so unique about them.
This kind of thinking isn't THAT rare in my opinion. He's just 1 of the few who've been able to share it with billions of people and hasnt had his arm successfully twisted by the industry, which is obviously run by and made for Western 'normalcy' This kind of thinking is too often squashed out of people or watered down. He and Josh are kicking normalcy's butt, hopefully paving the way for others who are 'too weird' or too imaginative' for mainstream, and allowing more of the - squashed into normal- folks to be exposed to what they probably feel but don't know, they are missing.

Tyler is probably the best lyricist of the 21st century if you ask me. Pretty much none of his lyrics sound are spitballing and they always have meaning or purpose, and on top of all that, it’s all so poetic.
And this is coming from someone who is primarily a fan of the classics.

I was 15 when I first listened to blurryface. The past 7ish years have been the story of Trench, fighting out of DEMA just to fall back into addiction, self destruction, desperation.
I'm now 23 and have "Fight it, take the pain, ignite it" tattooed on my chest for a reason. This band. This music. This storyline.
This world Tyler's created is the most accurate representation of the mental illness journey I've ever come across and its so poweful to listen to songs i used to, and so many people still, sob to in their darkest moments, and just scream them powerfully and proudly.

I find Tyler’s voice is SO cathartic!! Both his singing and speaking voices just put my brain in the happiest of places!! This band has gotten me through a near death incident, chronic illnesses diagnoses, and 27 surgeries no lie!! I’ve been a huge fan since 2009 and would be lost without Tyler and Josh’s creative genius to give me the joy and energy their music brings me each day!! Can’t wait to see them live again!!!
