    Great thorough review!
    This is a very robust and well built receiver. I can attest to this because I listen to mine daily (aux)....for the last 15 years! No need for significant service when I got it, just a little DeOxit on day one and it's been smooth and consistent since. It's driving a pair of JBL L56. Very nice high and low volume sound. Plenty of nice clean power IMO. I like that AUX setting doesn't use the tuner bulbs - only the AUX indicator, so they're all preserved in my case and no concerns about heat-deteriorating their housings over time. They don't make 'em like they used to.

      Ah! I never thought about the lights going dark when not using the tuner , for someone that uses the other functions most of the time those lamps will last a very long time.

    Hi!, kannst du eventuell sagen, warum hat das Gerät ein rauschen im Hintergrund? Ist zwar nicht gravierend, stört aber!
    Danke

    This amp doesn't have a complementary output stage, that would mean a npn and pnp. When they are both npn or both pnp its called quasi complementary as in a fake complementary.

      I was thinking the right one but said the wrong one, rest assured I know the difference. Thanks for checking out the video!

      @@luvradios I kind of figured but just in case thought people should know. Do you prefer the sound of the 1000x or 2000x? I have a 2000x but havent heard a 1000x yet.

      @@jakep8484 I've never owned one of these (either model) but from listening to the one from the video I can see why they have a following, a nice sounding unit for sure.

    Is there any way I could email you a video of a issue I’m having with the exact same model? It’s like there a short in the switches and knobs to the right.

    Why didn't you just solder on new bulb on other side of dial string?

    • @luvradios
      @luvradios  Před 2 lety

      That dial string is 40+ yrs old, no need to risk breaking it by removing those hold down clips which are by now fused tightly to that string, took the easy way on this one.
