- This has been requested a few times in the past and I should have done this earlier, but better late than never! Here are 10 brilliant Fugazi guitar riffs with help from my followers. I know I've missed some good ones but hopefully I'll do some more Fugazi sooner rather than later.

You paid Fugazi proper respect by adding the bass guitar to Turnover & Waiting Room.. much respect to you for that!
your guitar and bass tones are incredibly accurate to the actual songs. keep it up bro
Thanks mate.
@@NinetiesYouth Amp simulator most likely.
Great band. Joe Lally is such a terrific & underrated bass player his playing on Automatic Writing by Ataxia is fanastic.
Ataxia are underrated AF
I love Fugazi's discography, they were impressive.
All these riffs are dope af.
My favs (not on this vid):
Long Distance Runner
Combination lock (simplest track ever, goes hard af)
Fell, destroyed
Break
Cashout
Strangelight
Argument and red medicine, for me top albums, 13 songs is cool, rest is meh except for repeater
glue man goes hard af as well
@@user-il8ti2vl4w I've grown to enjoy Killtaker a lot, Public Service, Rend it, Great Cop, Cassavettes, Last Chance, all Great tracks!!!!!!!!
I’m not saying that Waiting Room has the greatest Bass Intro but I’m also not NOT saying Waiting Room has the greatest Bass Intro
It’s definitely up there. Mexicola by QOTSA might have it beat for me personally.
fitting as it's also the greatest song
What about Joe # 1. sweet and Low
Best comment EVER LOL
yes
Fugazi, not exactly the most complicated riffs, runs, and chords but their sound was so unique, and you really nailed it. I don't have much time left on this planet. Kindly show yourself. You deserve the recognition.
They have some very complicated stuff in their catalog actually. The stuff that Guy played was kinda nuts. They just made it look easy.
Lucky to have seen them live a couple of times in London many moons ago. Brilliant band. Your riffs are fucking perfect.
You are lucky indeed. Thank you.
Saw them 4 times.
Ya know. I have been listening to Fugazi for decades and I never really sat and thought about how sleek their guitar riffs were. Awesome. And really nice Cyclone by the way. Giving me GAS
Thank you so much for this video. My only comment is that Fugazi is one of the greatest bands in music history. I've got to see them many times over the years and they never let the listener down. If things are over for the band, they left on top with The Argument.
You are very lucky to have seen such a legendary band.
@@bloxsy_ I know that now, but believe it or not, back then, I had a lot of growing up to do. I remember the first times seeing them in 1990, the entire club flipped out when we saw Ian walk out with hair. They played over half the set and then walked off, because many of us were yelling for Minor Threat. The entire set was a back and forth between the crowd and Ian. Really stupid comments from the crowd. For me, I wanted to see them. After that I couldn't get enough of seeing them live. First time seeing them was summer of 1990 at the Jack E. Lee Theater in Akron, Ohio.
To return from a two month internet hiatus to find not one but TWO whole PHENOMENAL Fugazi videos from Bloxsy is equivalent to getting a pony for christmas! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Your playing has gotten so tight over the past year, man. Keep it up!
Thanks man!
Was hoping for Nightshop in this. Love the riffs in that song. Awesome video as always!
Great stuff. Love all those riffs. Cheers for the inspiration, going to grab my sg and have a go at a few
You are one of the very few people on CZcams I expect to get it right when it comes to covers. You get all the tones and nuances down almost indistinguishable from the original recordings. It’s kind of scary actually. Great job!
Thanks man! Glad you appreciate it.
There was a time in my youth, when Repeater was in perpetual motion in my Diskman.🤘💯😊
nice!!!!! i wasn't expecting you to break out the bass, love it. i just started bass and it's been kinda hard to figure out waiting room for me (also i prefer to pluck) so i'll come back to this one, love the tone you have. thank you for sharing!
yessssss… love fugazi. glad u did furniture. That’s one of my favorites!
AMAZING JOB AND SELECTION!!!!
it just truly shows how rad Fugazi is!
Can be a simple lil lick that's a riff!..
Yet it holds sooooo much power!!
I'm so beyond happy you did a Fugazi video, one of the greatest bands ever to play a stage (no matter what it was)
What a great band. Glad to see them getting the Bloxsy treatment :P
These are my favorite kinds of videos. "I'm out of content ideas, here are some riffs I like." It's the best. It's fun to see those influences.
Pleasantly surprised to see Furniture in this list. That's a favorite of mine but a very deep dive. And you followed it with Long Division, the song that made me fall in love with Fugazi. Great job!
The video I didn’t know I always needed. Thanks for putting this together and posting. 🤘
Thanks man. I appreciate.
Great video, I love how you always have a super accurate tone
Thanks dude.
You could do a video like “punk riffs throughout history” starting with Proto stuff from the 50’s til present day
I love this idea!
what a great thing to see and hear on a saturday morning!
Good morning!
Great ones! My favourite from fugazi is "slo crostic" such cool istrumental
waiting room has the sickest bass intro … well done as always!
Thanks!
this is the one i've been waiting for
Hell yeah. Good call adding the Joe's bass parts to the last few, can't hear those songs without the bass.
Blueprint is my go to rif when I pick up a new guitar. Such great use of dynamics. Returning the Screw is my second favorite.
So good to see love for this awesome band.
Been waiting for this
Fantastic! You got that sound down! 👍
I LOVE my cyclone! Nice to see another unicorn out there, especially riffing the GOAT
Hoping to see In Defense of Humans. Love that song and Fugazi. Lucky to have seen them three times. Great video man!
I am honestly surprised that none of the riffs from ''Epic Problem'' were included but hey, when you gotta choose lol...well done dude, gorgeous tone and articulate picking too!
Back in the day Fugazi used to come to a place called the Outhouse in Lawrence Kansas and you could see their shows for $5. I also saw a Fear there and the Jesus Lizard. I'm saw The Melvins in Lawrence Kansas at a little bar, nobody believes it but we had dinner at a Denny's Those were the good days boys
Best band ever, killer video!!
So Rad!! I can usually learn anything by ear, but smallpox champion's main riff was messing with me. Thanks, man! Nice tone too, and great playing!!
>M
Thanks man! Yeah I might revisit that one and do another cover of it.
Happy Easter for you my favorite guitar!
Happy Easter!
glad to see Furniture in the mix!
Absolutely my favorite band ever
That was a blast!
This is spectacular
Enjoyed that Sir 👌
Waiting Room is their big hit and Turnover is good too!
Sad too because they have so many songs that are way better and btw, it’s not really a hit. It’s just the most popular.
I've been waiting in the waiting room for years for this. ...
Hey Thanks! I was figuring out and now you showed me👍
One of the best bands!
Fuck, you scared me at the end, I thought you weren’t gonna jump back into the riff like they do in the actual track. 😂😂😂
Awesome!!!🙌🙌🙌🤘
Waiting room is iconic but my favorite from this video is Long Division....they have a song called Argument (I think?) that has an amazing arpeggio type bridge shimmer lead thing it's only 20 seconds long
argument is my absolute favorite song from them. The last half of the song is indescribable and is a perfect closer for the album.
Greatest band ever with zeppelin, sabbath, stooges, and floyd, and the greatest live band ever
Fugazi make the best riffs
Neber really got ot the straight edge movement....was prolly to late for that... But watching these lads live was always a great night
Fantastic
I was lucky enough to see them live 6 times. All in STL save once in DC. Their shows had more energy than I can ever describe.
You are lucky. Would love to have seen them.
sick af
Thank you so much !
Man i love this band , theres so many more songs you could do lol
Waiting room ❤ I was worried you wouldn't continue it 😂
Great video…but nothing from Red Medicine, End Hits, or The Argument? Literally my three favorite Fugazi albums
bangers
Bed For The Scraping next please
Unwound next!!!
HELL YEAH!
Nice😍😍
Would love to hear you perform Quicksand riffs 😮
This covers Quicksand too 😅
Any suggestions of Quicksand riffs? I'm not too familiar.
@@bloxsy_ I'm most familiar with their album Slip. Check that one out and see if anything interests you. Definitely fugazi-esque
Nice
Bed for the Scraping is sorely missed.
Top 10 la dispute riffs
Damn, his put me in a time warp baçk more than 30 years.
just a suggestion but seeing 10 sunny day real estate riffs would be awesome!
Cool. Which songs would you recommend?
@@bloxsy_
seven
in circles
round
red elephant
faces in disguise
shadows
pillars
roses in water
killed by an angel
47
Rad! Do Reclamation and Latin Roots next!
i love fugazi
That guitar reminds me of Omar Rodríguez-López in his atdi days
Top 10 Hum riffs!
Which would be in your top 10?
@@bloxsy_ Stars, I’d Like Your Hair Long, Green To Me, Comin’ Home, I Hate It Too, Dreamboat, Iron Clad Lou, Pinch And Roll,
The Very Old Man, Waves.
Can't believe Break got left off here. Sieve fisted find and bed for the scraping too
There's too many to fit in one piece, we all know that
Doing Gods work
10 “The Hives” Riffs PLEASE🙋♂
Can you do top Supergrass riffs, you might have heard of them.
Yeah I’ve heard of them. Good band
Song#1 is dope, would I be able to get that crispy sound on HHS setup? I'm complete newbie looking for that kind of sound but don't wanna limit myself to single coils as for now
I'm playing with a humbucker in the bridge position for all these but not using that much distortion. I think a humbucker would cover you for most styles of punk and heavier rock.
I really like Lusty Scripps, and I’m kinda sad it isn’t on here
I'll have to learn that one.
hey this guy's got on two hoodies
We fighting right now if you don’t do "glue man" by fugazi
❤🖤❤
Fantastic. Great to see Fugazi getting some love. Any interest in doing a Jesus Lizard Greatest Riffs?
Thank you. I need to give The Jesus Lizard a listen as I'm not familiar. Any particular favourites?
@@bloxsy_ Monkey trick, mouth breather, Then came Dudley( the guitar line is based on Miles Davis IIRC), rodeo in juliet, blue shot, Too bad about the fire.
@@bloxsy_ monkey trick. Slave ship. Here comes Dudley. Puss. Boilermaker. To name a very short few
@@bloxsy_ Their albums “Goat” and “Liar” are very good. Monkey Trick is a standout track with some great guitar and bass licks.
@@bloxsy_ check out songs like mouth breather, nub, monkey trick, and thumper
Yes.
And how is Fender not making those cyclones anymore ??
SSCCHHHHWWWAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
instead of listening to the band im rocking this!!!
Sorry!!! Over the band! Its just such a GOLDen blend!!!!
I'm sus this is a band member, BM raidie or friend! Lmado!!!
I hope to get back to this passionate!
Beyond my accident!
👍
Almost a mix of Nirvana, Led Zeppelin and Pearl Jam
Smallpox champion really like nirvana
FUGAZI tuning is awesome.
I know I shouldn't but sometimes I resent waiting room for being the only one that really blew up. I mean it's good it's a really good but they have such a good discography of songs it hurts when that's the only song casual listeners mention.
then again I have an irrational hatred for popular things so maybe that's just a me problem.
Hello Bloxy I was wondering if your cover videos get copyrighted? And if not what do you do to prevent this?
Love the work as always, thank you for sharing.
Thanks! A lot of them do but not all of them. I don't use any of the original recordings and it gets recognised as a 'cover' so I get a share of the ads they put on it. I can't do anything about it, I guess I just need to do more of my own stuff.
@@bloxsy_ Thank you very much for getting back to me I appreciate it. I know we would all love to hear more of your own projects. Enjoy the rest of your day. 😁
Music starts and ends here
You’re so dope, OG. Do you play in any bands? Also, could you give me a deal on your copy of Con Art?
I’m not in any bands. Not sure what you mean by con art?
Dude what is your guitar model? It looks so nice and sounded beautiful!!
Thanks! It's a Fender Cyclone.
I have a request will u plz make a video on guitar riffs of juliana hatlfield🙏🏻
I don't know who that is but will check them out.
Gostei muito do som....🤩
