I have that lens also, and it’s fantastic! The nicest piece of glass that I’ll likely ever have.

I use the really right stuff MH-02 monopod head to cover all facets of portrait to horizontal needs.

Great video. Watching this because I want that lens. And oh my goodness. I just bought that exact monopod. Leofoto MP-365C. Love it. I recommend changing the title of this video to not say G2. That is a Tamron lens designation. Looks like your lens is the VR II.

Nice in daylight for action, sports and wildlife but for nighttime at footy I use 400mm f2.8 lens

I just got a Nikon 200-400mm f4 VRii. Use it with my Nikon Z7. I do notice that the VR keep on working and does not go to sleep, and drains the battery. On my D800 the VR comes on and when I stop focussing it turns off, which is how I think it should work. Does anyone have the same problem?

Theyre a beast of a lens im on for my 2nd , i got rid for a 200-500. Biiig mistake the 200-400 is pro lens price for a reason .

Sir, as far as I know, z6 and z7 do not do VR when the lens "af-s" do have VR already... I think some and future af-z lenses with VR will work in conjunction with Z cameras vr... But it says in the manual when af-s lenses have VR the camera do not

Either way I get VR so I am content. Perhaps in a further software Update who knows?

Hi Mark thx for another great video. In the future I'll get the Z8 or maybe Z9 but for now I'm going to buy a Z6ii. My focus will be birds and African wildlife on safari with some video use but for photo use the aim is to shoot for fine art print sales. So image quality is most important to me. Now in your opinion which lens would you recommend the 200-400 f4 VR ii or the new 180-600 f56-6.3. thx for your or anyone else's advice.(budget not a issue as I can get the 200-400 for less than the 180-600 in fact) I think the 180-600 is probably quieter than the F4 but I'll not put my mic directly on the camera. thx Doug

Thank you for the positive vibes, I would recommend the 400mm F4.5 prime as it is lightweight to carry all day and will take a Tele converter like a 1.4S or 2.0S.

@@dougsphoto No not really. Its fine for stationay birds and portraits and festivals weddings but you will struggle with fast mooving subjects.

The lenses have VR, Nikon cameras don’t have VR, IS or OS.
