- Browsing the Autotrader website one day I came across this little beauty. I couldn't resist to go and look at it and yep, I bought it there and then! A beautiful six year old Honda S Wing 125 aka FES 125 with ultra low mileage and it rides like new.
Also appreciate your videos are clearly promoting the notion of biking as an aesthetic pleasure rather than a testosterone-filled obsession with acceleration and top speed which is giving all bikers a very bad name. We need more like you to counter the ludicrous fixation on speed that gets worse and worse, driven of course by the UK biking press and manufacturers producing increasingly pointless, expensive and ugly bikes.
I have no desire for a bigger bike to be honest. My girlfriend and I are always having a ride out and to pootle round the lanes at 40-50 mph is good for me. I do get why some want speed and testosterone but I know my limits and I'm happy staying alive! You only have to search CZcams and it's all bike fails involving speed all of the time. It's great just to ride in the speed limits and enjoy the HD view you get on a bike at slower cruising speeds. Ride safe and thanks again
Have just discovered the S Wing, was looking for a scooter large enough for me and got a chance to sit on one and I rather liked it. Thank you for doing this video and for pointing out the things that matter. Just got to try and find one now !
One of the best review I've watched so far, great job 👍
Thank you, that’s much appreciated.
Best regards
Simon
nice vid... just bought a 13 plate sub 10k on it with heated grips for a winter soldier.
get delivered in the week... felt great for the 40 seconds ride i had but same as yours. and as you say great value.
I love it. Great scooter. Thanks for showing us. 👍
Beautiful bike. I've ridden a PCX for the past five years. Currently doing my DAS but I might consider one of these for now and get a Forza next year when funds will allow. I'm only a small bloke at 5'5" (136lb) so these machines suit me well. I've toured the UK on the PCX and this looks almost like a Forza.
I've had 2 s-wings, fantastic smooth, comfy scoots. Great video.
Hi Mark
J am about to buy one of those 125 s wing 07 plate.
Will you be so kind and give me heads up what to look when buying one?
Please?
@@Jaantastic Hi, just check exhaust for rust, and make sure its been serviced regular, and make sure when warm doesnt over heat. good luck.
A really good review. Whilst doing my CBT again a few days ago I was impressed with the S-wing one of the blokes on the training was riding, hence why I'm looking on You Tube @ reviews on this bike. My Forza 125 has a top speed of 84 mph, of course I don't usually do that speed but it's nice to know I can. I would recommend the Forza to anyone, they are not cheap but worth it.
What a fantastic video. So much information.
Thank you, I appreciate your comments. More videos coming soon!
Good video bro, love the bike and I am planning to buy it next season. I saw a black one in the city, dont like it at all. I hope to find a silver or dark grey metallic one.
What I like the most about it are the large front lights.
It's definitely going to be a japanese scooter, but I think it's going to be that one.
Just bought 2009 version for 1100€ and since I’m living in Spain it’s the only way to get around 👌🏻🍾
I got one!!old but im glad ive got one
Stupid question but I don't know how to open the compartment to full up the fuel tank
Interesting. I did not know they even made a Silverwing smaller than the 586cc parallel twin model sold here in the USA. Learn something new every day. :-D That is a nice looking ride. LOOOOOVE the swing to the SIDE seat!!! They ALLLLLLLL should have been made that way!
I bought my Honda Goldwing GL1500se for the same price with "linked combined braking etc etc" Now thats comfortable
I like your passion for this scooter! I currently have a suzuki burgman 125 which is really good. It fits 2 full face helmets under the seat. It's 12hp so not that much, but to get me to town and home again it does the job. I too am not too bothered about speed and big bikes, I'd just like something around 300cc. I've yet to do the bike test. They don't cater to automatic transmission bikes to do your test on, you have to do it on a 750cc manual bike (at my local training school).
Anyway, I am subscribing :)
Lincs 125 I think there is such a license as an auto category A1, A2 or A. You just have to find a school with such a bike. The Burgman is a great scooter and yes, probably slightly better luggage capacity under the seat. We just managed to fit a Kappa Garda 52 litre to the Swing. It's the same as a Givi Trekker only cheaper and it is huge! Thanks for your comments and enjoy your scooting. Speed isn't everything as I have said many a time. It's a nice pace to see the world at around 40-50 mph. Best regards
This is a beautiful example, a lot like my Yamaha Xcity 250 but all in a 125 so better fuel economy beauty
Yes mate!!!!old video but i just got me one
Love your Innova adventures! Yes, the S wing is still the Rolls Royce of scooters, and the 125 is much lighter, rides better and handles better than the 650cc version. ABS would put the icing on the cake and it's availalbe on some wings. Many are put off by the ungainly front, but that's what contributes to the exceptionally low drag and stella wind protection. It's better than the somewhat square looking and more ungainly Peugeot equivalents which can wander at motorway speeds. The last Yamaha Majesty S 125 is also a great scooter, especially if you are smallish, and these two represent the last line of a great era.
Thank you for your nice comments. I agree about the S wing 125 and wind protection. As for the Innova adventures, I traded the Innova in for a new bike for my girlfriend. It's still sitting in the dealership though and I'm tempted to go and buy it back! Was a great little bike that one. Ride safe
Nice scooter 😊
Great video! Realistically what do you think the maximum amount of mileage is you could get out of one of these? Like would it go above 40,000 miles?
Easily with good maintenance!
@@scootyman2974 That's good news! Thanks for the reply!
Cracking looking bike that. Interested in how you feel it rides with the smaller wheels and what the long distance comfort is like. I'm looking for something to do a long distance run on. Cheers.
Hi Ian. The wheels do play a big part in the long distance comfort on this Honda. I found with my last one, the way to improve the ride quality was to change out the stock tyres to Michelin City Grip and renew the front fork oil with something quality rather than what's put in at the factory. My front end feels a little vague right now but the tyre and fork oil mod will solve that one. (Video to follow winter 2017) The seat is extremely comfortable on long journeys. I am 18 stone and my girlfriend around ten (180 kgs combined) which is the max carrying capacity and we go from Farnborough in Hampshire down to Weymouth without any bother at all. Leg room is good and weight distribution over the huge saddle is also good. The wheels are fine once you are used to them and ride quality is fine also. (Do the tyre and fork mod) I'm planning to take this one to Scotland next year. Hope that helps and ride safe
Scooty Man excellent info, thanks mate. Love Weymouth, was born there. Think I'll replace my HD with one......piece of rusting junk! Keep your reviews coming, please! 👍
Just Bought same model But in slightly Graphite Dimond White no marks scrapes at all as clean as yours Love it comfortable and fast for the country we live in Not the autoban Germany LOL Loads of storage as you say the abs brakes when both used properly the bike pulls down evenally hugging the road better i think it will do me my life time PS The forza is a cheaper plastic feel and terrible looking clock display
Hi Scooty ManDid you make a not of the fuel economy on your S-Wing?
Thomas Oppenlænder
Hi Thomas,
As I remember it was around 90 mpg wth normal riding.
Best regards
Scooty
Great. Thanks. Much appreciated. :-)
Why would you change oil on forks with 2000 miles ????
It’s part of good routine maintenance. I have also found on a number of occasions that very little oil had been put in the forks from the factory. Maybe it evaporates, I don’t know but I do know that once changed, the ride is consistently better. Hope that helps
Just bought a 2007 FES for £900. Bosh👍
Whaaaaat?
I am about to buy 07plate for 1500...... Sounds dear compared to your.......
Why do you wear an open face.
Have you ever thought of selling it?
Thanks for your comment. It’s long gone sadly. I traded it for a CBF1000 around three years ago and whilst I love the big bike, I do miss the S-Wing.
I still have the Vision 110 though and I’m currently recording a series of videos on that if you like the Honda Scooters. Should be uploading around the end of March.
Best regards
You should try the Peugeot Satelis. I think its far superior to the Honda, and more beautiful personally. Best luck!
Hi Tiago. When I first got interested again in scooters, it was the Satelis that caught my eye. It's a great scooter but not so popular in the UK. I believe it is a rebadged Sym which is no bad thing. Peugeot have a good reputation here for building a great scooter. I tend to stick with scooters and small bikes that have service information readily available along with good parts supply and I'm not sure how the Satelis would stand with my criteria. Thanks for your comments and best regards. Enjoy that Scoot! ;)
I dont know how is there in the UK, but you shouldnt have problems with parts. After all we are in Europe. IF you have the chance make a video. There are not many full reviews on the interweb. You should get a lot of hits!

Funny you should mention that as I'm weighing up my options for. Commuter back and forth between Glasgow and Edinburgh soon. I'm relocating and need a bike for all weathers and seasons. I might consider a 153cc kit and see if it gives the S Wing a little more legs rather than chop in for a bigger scooter. Enjoy your new toy and best regards
A 125 might be a laugh for short rides - I have a Vespa et4 - but for round trip of 100 miles the lack of power will soon be a misery. If you've passed your test I dunno why you bought a 125 in the first place, 400 burgies are actually cheaper s/hand than the 125s. The Honda's still a damned fine ride back n fore to the shops, but NOT inter-city for hevvens sake.

Hello again, so today I sadly traded the S Wing in and bought a 1000cc bike. My commute is now confirmed to be 20 miles to work each way through 20, 30 & 40 mph zones with a little dual carriageway so I'm keeping my Vision 110 for that and the big bike for fun. I considered a Silverwing today. 09 plate and only 4000 miles from new, it was gorgeous but I opted for a bigger Honda. Bergman 400? Yes I considered them as well and liked the look. Maybe one day....
Did I mention I have a 125 Pantheon? Essentially the same as the S wing. Expensive game, chopping and changing all the time so will keep for a while, at least a year.. I'd like a 400 Burg but am waiting til I can afford the 2008-on version.
barnbersonol I like the Burgy 400 too but I'm so split with the number of bargain around and in that sector now. You can pick up a nice majesty 400 for cheap or a medium mileage Forza 300. The Burgman 400 does seem to offer more in the way of comfort though.
should say "Note". Not "not". Oops
I just got one for 900 pound :)
