Thank you! If I can spot someone cheering, I’ll always do my best to say thanks… supporting an event is always greatly appreciated when you’re in the race!
Once again, very well done Andy , shows what consistant focus and training can achive within ones boundries, one of the things I appriciated as a consumer of media, that in this block , you pulled back and adjusted when needed you showed understanding of the limits within your life (and more important things like family ). Good Coaching , lovely local environment , some great runners close to you (Matt and co) to share experiances with. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! Ah, you're a hero... never let anyone tell you otherwise!! I remmber when my kids were younger, I used to think I had a harder day at work... then when my second child got a bit older I got a bit more flexible with my work and was able to help out more at home... I then realised that going to work for the day was a "break"... the childcare and running a house is far more stressful and hard work!
Go Andy go! 🎉 really excited for your ‘24 and ticking off that London Marathon with happier healthier memories. I love how real you are, acknowledging your wife and your school runs. That tips the hat to all the non elites of us who spin plates and still get out there and get it done! PB’d in Manchester on Sunday so I’m also pretty stoked 🛎️
Thank you! Ah massive well done in Manchester, thats awesome! Yeah theres so much that goes into a successful training block, and it doesnt just include me... my wife is a big part of that!
Wow, Andy!! You crushed it! What a great race! I'm very happy for you to have set a smashing PB! I'll be watching the recap video soon. Once again, well done mate!
WOOWWW ANDY!!!! Huge CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That is an absolutely scorching time, you gotta be pretty damn chuffed with that Andy!!! So thrilled you've worked through and seemed to have ironed out your GI issues too!! And I have to say the support you got while out there running was just wonderful ... it makes such a difference!!! BRAVO!! 💪🏻🏅🏃♂💪🏻
Great job, awesome time. I saw you opposite the bag drop afterwards, I ran a PB 89 mins myself. The park isn’t a great section for the half but it’s key to all races in Oxford, it’s in the 10k race and the main park run too. It’s an iconic part of the city for running, but I agree it wasn’t great that deep in (even as my primary park run)
Thanks! Ah yes, well done again on the 89 half, brilliant! I appreciate that, I can understand why they do it, its just a shame the rest of the course is so fast and then that sections hits you at the end
Congrats Andy! Awesome PB💪👍 , wow what a fast pace I'd like to be able to get sometimes in the future, very inspirational for me! Thank you so much mate!
Great race, Andy! And kudos to that 19th place runner too! He was a carrot the whole time. I kept waiting for you to overtake him be he must’ve been pretty strong!
Congrats Andy, thank you for documenting our amazing city at its best! Huge congrats on the PB, chuffed to have gone sub90 for the first time myself yesterday
Great run, so happy for you that all the blocks worked out, injuries stayed away and you got great results. Love your videos and I learn a lot from them. I have been battling with injuries a lot, but I think lots of the tips from your videos are helping! Congrats on the PB!
Congrats on new pb - have followed your channel for a while now - always great content and loads of races. Great work - keep it going. Can’t believe your Mrs doesn’t watch the videos!!!
Fantastic result congrats, I gave you a shout out as you were nearing the 9mile point, I was outbound. I also managed a PB went from a 1:42 to a 1:36 😃😃 Brilliant race.
Congrats, Andy! Good stuff. I got my first sub 3 in Newport this year and just went sub 80 yesterday in the Bath half and I couldn't agree more about consistency, stringing those blocks together, it's made all the difference. It's been good fun following your content for the marathon, 10K and HM blocks. Good luck for the rest of the year and into 2024!
What an epic performance Andy! Huge time, you have a positive mindset to everything you approach and that shone through here, keep enjoying the journey!
Another great race execution and excellent result. I need to test myself for half marathon distance, it has been ages since the last time I race that distance. As I am going to prepare for marathon race in late January, it would be a good idea to have a HM type of workout to see how is my fitness at.
Amazing time Andy, well done 👏🏻. I ran the GSR 10 miler and also got a PB, I managed 57:20 which is over 1min 30 faster. Looks like a great weekend for PBs.
I've really enjoyed this series Andy and I am really glad that the race worked out for you. Yeah I was watching the race unfold and that dirt trail would definitely slow you down. You just don't get the pop from your shoes on account of that. Glad you got a PR and you continue to impress me with your diligence and dedication. I watch every weekly recap and and love your content.
Awesome running, Andy, and thoroughly well deserved. Having run this race I totally agree with everything you’ve said about it, especially the last two miles being pretty tough. One extra thing to note is it isn’t UKA licensed (or at least hasn’t been the previous two years) and so won’t go on Po10 or runbritain which won’t matter to some people but is a big negative in my mind when it comes to using it for a qualifying time
Ive been waiting for this video to drop.😀 Fantastic run Andy! You've put in a lot of consistent training weeks and really deserve that. Congrats on a massive pb 👏
Brilliant PB Andy, well done! I do my PB as well and I'm absolutely buzzing about this Oxford race. I was running in takumi Sen 9 they was excellent on this corners 💪
congratulatons Andy, solid race true to form......speed endurance coming along ncely......new boxes to check? sub 2:35 marathon, sub 72 half and low 32 in the 10k.....lots to look forward in 2024 and/or 2025......forging the iron while it is hot......on a more serious note, age will eat up speed sooner and faster than you think
Thanks Thomas! Yeah some exciting targets for next year but I think I’ll just go for PBs and have fun in the process…I always finish a series like this and think “why did I put the pressure on myself to go an run a specific time when I should of just said to myself to go out, run strong and have fun”. I’ll touch on this mindset on the race recap video 🙏 I decided on the morning of the race that it was just “another training run” and to have fun with it… I think that mindset helped towards the result
@@TheFODRunner sorry. Rereading my original post, it sounds a little harsh! I just mean that if you put XX:53 or X3:53 or 7X:53 I would be curious to know what your race time was (and would be more likely to watch!), whereas I’m not overly concerned to know the exact seconds. Great channel 👊🏼
Congratulations Andy. Throughly deserved. I love the way you acknowledge the cheers. Super good guy.
Thank you! If I can spot someone cheering, I’ll always do my best to say thanks… supporting an event is always greatly appreciated when you’re in the race!

Thanks John.... yes this block was much more controlled than the previous block and I think that massively paid off. I am delighted!
Congrats Andy. as a mom I appreciate your complimente to your wife. I train and get back and then it's all hands on deck to get everyone out the door.
Thanks! Ah, you're a hero... never let anyone tell you otherwise!! No. 1 running You Tuber by far content is so relatable to the average runner.
Thank you so much, really appreciate that!
Congrats Andy! Awesome PB💪👍 , wow what a fast pace I'd like to be able to get sometimes in the future, very inspirational for me! Thank you so much mate!
Thanks Peter!
Great race, Andy! And kudos to that 19th place runner too! He was a carrot the whole time. I kept waiting for you to overtake him be he must’ve been pretty strong!
Thanks! He was mega strong, a top bloke as well, we chatted at the end and just kept eachother going!
Well done Andy, great result, I admire your honesty the good days and the not so good, you tell it as it is 👍
Thanks buddy, yeah we embrace the good days and just have to roll with the bad days… just got to keep showing up!
Congrats Andy, thank you for documenting our amazing city at its best! Huge congrats on the PB, chuffed to have gone sub90 for the first time myself yesterday

Thanks! Yes Ben is great, was so good to catch up with him
Fantastic result congrats, I gave you a shout out as you were nearing the 9mile point, I was outbound. I also managed a PB went from a 1:42 to a 1:36 😃😃 Brilliant race.

Thanks Amanda! It did get a bit wiggly towards the end!

Thanks! Yes absolutely, if your marathon is January then definitely look at one in November/early december!

Well done Andy 👏🏼👏🏻 keep up the good work

YES!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
No special thanks to Saucony, for making the Endorphin Elite shoe?
Ah I missed that thank you! They are now officially my favourite racing shoe!
Well done. I don’t understand why you put 73:XX. Surely putting 7X:53 would build more suspense. Really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thanks! No idea, it just felt right when I was making the thumbnail haha!
@@TheFODRunner sorry. Rereading my original post, it sounds a little harsh!

Good job on the “slow” first mile. Too many PRs are lost in the first 8 minutes.
Thanks Mike, absolutely agree, just controlled it and worked into the race… always the best way!
😂 Nice. I also had a HM race yesterday and my goal was to get a new PB and go Sub1:17. Ended up going Sub1:16. I take that. 😝
YES MATE!! Double celebrations!! Well done 👊
Super pacing!
Thanks buddy!
PB what shoes?hi Andy! congrats!
Thanks! Saucony endorphin elite, they are the best!
👍🏻
👊
