In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
Fantastic talk. Great point about discouraging risk-taking. I think it was Miles Davis who said "Do not fear mistakes. There are none."
Important talk. I thoroughly enjoyed my playtime in Dublin in the 50s, and learning Gaelic and Latin. I played a lot on Arbour Hill and lived on Park Gate Street, across from Phoenix Park
Brilliantly communicated. With regards to teacher's role in letting students lead, etc. - the education policy does make a big difference, but the real culprit in curtailing the power that the teacher can have, is the increased hand-holding of parents. If the parent body pushes for making children resilient, tenacious, etc., then the changes will happen.
TURN IT UP!! I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A TECHNOLOGY BASED ORGANISATION LIKE TED FAIL ON SIMPLE AUDIO MIXING!!
That's really a great work.

GREAT TALK! BUT THE AUDIO ENGINEER NEEDS 2 FIND A NEW CAREER!!
I don't agree. It is never too late. This should not be told to those children
