- Musician’s Institute grad @nicolesrow-who’s backed up the likes of Miley Cyrus, Fat Joe, Ty Dollar Sign, Dallas Austin, Remy Ma, Aussie Troye Sivan, and (normally) touring with Panic at the Disco-bassist Nicole Row carved out some time just before releasing her debut solo single “Headspace,” to virtually welcome PG’s Chris Kies into her Cali tone retreat. In this Rig Rundown, she goes through her stable of Ps, Js, and custom basses, details how the neck profile dictated her connection to the Jazz model, and details her powerful pedalboard that amps up the snarl, bite, and oomph.
[Facing a mandatory shelter-in-place ordinance to limit the spread of COVID-19, PG enacted a hybrid approach to filming and producing Rig Rundowns. This is the 36th video in that format.

Never liked P!ATD, but having a bass player on the show is refreshing and she's so enthusiastic
Nice to have more bass rundowns!
She's just a great bassist! She brings an unique touch to Panic! And now that I know that Brendon says that she could take the liberty of playing like she does I understand why!
Insightful questions, answers, and great jamming. The LEH bass and Noble preamp sound killer. Thanks for sharing Nicole and Chris.
To me she is one of the coolest Bassist I've ever seen. Her feeling for grove and rythmn perfection :D
If I ever wake up in a disco, I would panic .
Saw Panic at Firefly in 2019 and this girl rocks! Tiny, adorable, and powerful!
a rig rundown no one asked for but we all enjoy
Cool - was unaware of Nicole, thanks for the introduction!
Bass Rig Rundown. More please.
Nicole is amazing... So good doing her thing, and so cool and beautiful...
Gotta love this amazing musician
I saw DAYA live in NYC in 2016, maybe 2017. She had a band of all women and I'll never forget the bass player using a Marcus Miller Jazz. Thought that was so cool. I got halfway through this video before it clicked in my brain haha. Nicole was great in that concert!
This LEH bass sounds absolutely amazing!!!
Lovely.
That tone knob selector thing on that P-bass is amazing
I think the "mystery knob" is something called a Tonestyler which switches between a range of preset tone capacitors
saw her last night with Incubus, she killed it!!
Eich is a German company, not Dutch, and their headquarters are located in Herborn, not in Amsterdam. That's like saying I'm endorsed by this Canadian amp company Aguilar. I'm seriously surprised that a player of her caliber isn't familiar with her own amp endorser.🤔
Wish I had that rig...
The switch in the pbass is a tone styler knob. I have one and stand by it.
omg~ she is SO gorgeous!
i have the same brand of strings on my viola as she has on her bass omfg
Eich......from Germany!!!!!!!
Cool
28:00 Eich amps is a German company, he's right.
Hyvä Darkglass! \m/
Man I would die to play for patd.
With her playing and backing vocals, panic's performances got meatier. Her vox work so well harmonizing with Brendons
That guitar looks massive
*bAsS GUitAr
I wish I had rich parents that paid for my school and for me to move to LA after high school
I'm gonna take a fender jazz bass put my name on the headstock and sell it for 2k
She reminds me of a young Nancy Travis
Exaactly!!
Is she playing flats or rounds?
Bass guitars need appreciation to. I think everyone tends to think of electric guitar moreso when they hear guitar.
Is Nicole using an envelope filter?
You should try the German made Pyramid Strings!! They will last you at least a year! Ask Hugh MacDonald!
Thomastik-Infeld last considerable longer. Some musicians never change them. Others say they last well over 5 years. Carol Kaye rarely changed her TI's.
@1:11 And stupid, she forgot to say stupid!
someone needs to give her a music man
She is so small ☺️
гитары красивые , бабёха не очень...
Eich Amps are German ;)
😂😂 Ámsterdam, Germany or Netherlands? Please Americans less guns and more books
Kind of annoying these players can't even remember or know what gauge strings they use. I understand now you have a bass tech but you should still know more about your own gear.
She uses Thomastik Infeld strings. Neither the round wound or flat wound come in the usual 45-105 gauges, but all sorts of weird gauges. No wonder she can't remember them!
