- In this video I share my honest thoughts feeling and opinions on Mist Survival after 49 hours worth of playtime. This game got a major update, new map and better graphics for the 5.0 early access change, so I considered this to be a great time to look at the game as it may interest both new and returning players. this game is a single player, open world survival game for under £9 in the UK

My vote was to support the single dev on this project. This is impressive for a single person to put together. There are impressive mechanics and aesthetics for sure

The sun does actually kill the zombies, it's just sometime's they get bugged out and wont take any damage. Good review.

I played thus game in mid 2020 and it's nice to see how far it has came especially for 1 dev
Mist comes very close to fulfilling everything I wanted from a singleplayer base-building survival game without the tedium or frustration of complicated "keep this stat bar filled" mechanics. Sometimes a simpler approach to character and inventory management makes for a smoother experience.
Have you tried Deadside? Has been improved drastically and seems to fit your style. I love it

Considering that this is done by one guy and costs only 9 Euro on Steam, this seems to offer quite a lot of fun. One question though, is there some kind of story one can follow? I mean, there is the background story and the NPC system, but is there anything beyond 'make your own story'?

I just started playing but i love it.
Leo accidently died on me form a barrel explosion. I replay the mine boss to keep Leo with me. Scott on the other hand lives in perpetual agony ( I hope) with basic arrows sticking in his head.
@Tek Evolved do you have any idea who the developer is for this? Seeing that one of the houses from Deathly Stillness is an asset in this one really makes me think the instructor for the class and this dev is one in the same… or maybe one of their students?
That was a connection i made also that it could be Chen from Deathly Stillness but I recently also played another game called Outbreak island pendulum and it also has that very same house. I think it's a default one from the Unreal Engine. Rati Wattanakornprasit is both the Producer and Director for mist and isn't involved with Outbreak island pendulum. and neither is Chen from what I've read online so that makes the most sense 👍

Eh, I give it a 4.5/10. The reasons
1.) Crafting
2.) Loot bag
3.) Loot stacking
4.) Too many variables to keep up with: food, water, rest, temp.... Food and water seems to drop a lot faster than anything.
5.) Cannot get the stuff that was taken.
6.) Building
I bought it for $10 and played for 2 hours. The game crashed constantly. Saving? Crash, loading? Crash, Respawning? Crash, crashing? Crash. The melee combat didn't work, many mechanics aren't explained or don't make sense. Gameplay was bland and there wasn't much. That being said there was so much potential for a good game but I had to refund it. I spent 60% of my playtime waiting for it to load or crash

The db shotgun wasn’t in the barn at the community? Are there other barns?
So there are two barns next to community and there is a path leading up to north west one and it's a single square on the map and not the one close to the church on the east side, shotgun should be on shelf on the left hand side as you enter from the front of the barn, hope this helps
@@TekEvolved Yeah i see the other barn but it has the zombie guy with the horns on his face there so i wont go there just yet i guess lmao

some times doesn't spawn in at that location can use loot refresh and should pop up there but will also re spawn all loot that is out in the open

Think it might be, if you've not played the new map but like I said in the video, the map needs a lot of work still so you might be okay skipping it for awhile and waiting for another major update 👍

Nah, the graphics are just like that. The game is still lacking.
The game just looks horrible. It looks like a 20 year old game for real.

You can finish the game in literally 30 minutes. There isn't anything to do. The combat is boring and frustrating. I don't understand all these youtube shilling for this atrocity. You crash more to desktop than you have moments of fun in this game.

Game looks terrible. Naming it Mist is confusing, but it has nothing to do with the story. Just another buggy Early Access zombie survival game. Ugh.
The Mist is a big part of the core game it's a global random event and the dev is working on adding story elements with patches, this game runs better with one dev working on it than 7days to die a game that has 9 years of alpha work so I gave it some credit in my review. Thanks for your comment
@@TekEvolved I agree. We need a good zombie survival game to revive the community. I think when this game becomes more polished and out there where the guy can hire more people, this game could be a Top 10 of its year, when that time comes.
you probably haven't played the game I played it and it's fun sure there's no quest or anything but you can do a lot

Game is garbage. Get stuck everywhere. I don’t know how many times I’ve climbed up to check a box truck and get stuck inside it on the stupid shit inside.
Man this looks so sick, then I saw "single player" nah. Def needs to be pvpve
But I bet it's still fun. It looks amazing
@@jartvv6856 Yeah a multiplayer mode would be awesome but then again the game needs to have a lot of work so that could cause more issues, it's a good idea for the future though so thanks for sharing 👍

I prefer pve co op or single player. PvP can go die in a fire.
