Finally got my tree branches cut using my new saw czcams.com/users/postUgkx84IcU5pbZd1Qrz8u4-YRLmJax7kdRi7B , and it was effortless. Then tackled taking pallets apart by just cutting through the nails. Zip Zip, like butter, took no time at all! Absolutely love that you just push a button to change the blade, so quick and easy. I chose cordless because of all the outside projects I need to do, and most are too far to extend an extension cord to. Incredibly lightweight, and easy to handle. I will be using this all the time. There is a reason they call them Sawzalls , because they literally saw all the things you need cut. Once you buy one you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner ~ Just make sure and buy the right blades for the job you want to tackle. The blades are not expensive, and there are lots of various multi-packs available.

No. Super was slightly faster with the cast iron, and it was also faster with wood when it's orbital action was turned on. Non super was faster with galvanized and faster with wood vs super with orbital action turned off. Not sure why he even did the test that way because you'd always want the orbital action on for wood demo anyway, and it just made it confusing

Not only did you fail to use a fresh new blade during testing, obscureing the results. you also failed to highlight the other improvement changes the 2821 has. Such as an upgraded slide crank mechanism wich protects against water and dust. Anti-corrosion blade clamp, wear-resistant blade change lever, reinforced battery connection.things that don't impact your testing but should influence a buyers choice.

My buddy asked for one of these for his birthday. Both our houses are Milwaukee for cordless and too heavily invested in M18 to consider anything else. Looks like 2821 it is. The smaller body of the tool is an advantage as well. We work boat salvage and sometimes spaces are tight. Every inch can count. I'll peruse a few more videos before making a decision but I appreciate the video.

Earned a 👍 from me if I were to give any comments other than that it was a great comparison and break down of the two I’d say the super sawzall might perform better under heavier load/ higher resistance I don’t know as I’m yet to test mine again my new sawzall it’s in the post but it would be interesting to see the results of the same test with say double the weight on the saws

For a carpenter, the orbital mode is a game changer for demos. Just got a super and its night and day from the gen 2. And on top of that the gen 2 bogs and stops when you really get after it, but the super just keeps friggin going. Just my two cents!

My Milwaukee M18 CSX only runs for a second or two and shuts itself down. After that, the LED turns on and off 6 times with small pauses? Also, when I press the switch sometimes the diode just lights up 4 times with a short pause and the saw doesn't work?

I have both and the normal gen 2 is better and superior to the super sawzall. The super sawzall does not feel any stronger or faster but it’s significantly heavier and it cost more. I pretty much always use the gen 2 sawzall and never touch the super sawzall anymore.

The only real advantage the super sawzall has in this mediocre test, is that it is heavier putting more weight on the blade. Despite this, however, as a professional tradesmen I will take the lighter tool every day of the week.

(That and the other reason I don’t buy new blades for every single cut is that I’m a one man operation doing this at home in my garage shop, and I don’t earn any money from these videos in order to afford $80+ worth of blades each go lol)

I can't help but think there's a variable that could have easily been avoided in the fact that you were using used blades. Even if they had an identical amount of wear, it leaves an unknown value in an important spot for us viewers and is a potential reason people could use to disregard your findings should they have wanted the loser to win. Plus, it's a great excuse to make another video on the subject for some easy views (maybe add the 2822-20 into the mix?) Just a thought...
