This is a really good Elmo replica, also I have one question, how did you make the head pattern? Did you take a piece of paper and trace it over the head you have or what cause I want to make a muppet of my own and I’m confused on how to make a head pattern

Do you mind if I ask what kind of fur you’re using? All the reds I find are too straight and clean if you know what I mean?
I use different types of fur either something from etsy or mongolian fur. Then i boil the fur to get the look i want, then put it in the dryer. It’s also possible to build the puppet with straight fur and fix it up after the puppets finished. :)

Hey man great job! Just curious when you say the fur is drying what did you do to the fur to get that Elmo texture?
The John Turley Music Project I boiled the fur then put it in the dryer. :)

It would depend on the look of fur your going for! I usually don’t have a certain temperature that i go for except for the water boiling.
If you want a more tight look definitely keep it in longer about 20-30 minutes but if your wanna a light fluff about 10-20 minutes!
It also depends on the type of fur your using like long fur or short fur. Mongolian fur or Faux fur Etc. :)

Awesome creations! I know a lot of puppet builders do not share their patterns but can you at least share basic measurements and patterns please . I’m looking for an Elmo pattern for years and your work is phenomenal.
There are basic measurements as well as patterns in the video. I plan on remaking the whole monster tutorial for a new series soon! :)
