  • Neo Geo: Get ready for a monster mash on Neo Geo AES with King of the Monsters 2: The Next Thing! This 1992 sequel is like Godzilla and King Kong teaming up against alien invaders. You and your buddy get to be these colossal creatures - think Super Geon and Cyber Woo - and wreck cities. Smash, power up, unleash killer moves, and take on massive bosses. Warning: it's crazy hard, but crazy fun. Co-op chaos at its best!
Mega Drive: King of the Monsters 2 is also kicking it on Sega, but with a twist. It's got the same monster showdown vibe, but the gameplay is more like a wild wrestling match. Pick from three awesome monsters and toss your opponents around the ring. Watch out, though - the CPU is no pushover, and the grappling system can be a bit of a head-scratcher. Still, it's a blast with lively levels, slick graphics, and action that's faster than a speeding monster.
SNES: Join the monster party on SNES with King of Monsters 2 - it's a total riot! This 1992 gem keeps the original's building-smashing, boss-battling fun alive. Picture street-fighter vibes mixed with tournament-fighter vibes all over the world. Play solo or team up with a friend for some monster-wrestling madness. It's short, it's easy, but it's a blast. Perfect for a quick fix of nostalgia and thrills. Whether you're flattening the Eiffel Tower or tussling with sea creatures, this SNES port brings the monster mayhem to your screen!

The SNES version is overall pretty arcade accurate, they kept the Neo Geo original's brawler concept with stages and endbosses, and the Genesis version is more like an 1 vs 1 wrestling game with quite different content and gameplay, similar to the first part of KotM.

The graphics of arcade version are great, the modification that was made in the Snes version is magnificent and the Sega Genesis version is a fighting videogame wich makes it very entertaining. My favorite KOTM2 version is the Snes because is the most I played in my entire life.

My dad got me a copy for the Genesis, can't remember if it was the first one or this one. But it became my favorite game. I also really enjoyed rampage.

Surprisingly enough, the SNES sprites look bigger. Something uncommon. But all versions are quite good

The rez u can see more of the screen on genesis ,
Just say it zoomed in on snes.
When I was young I thought snes had bigger characters all the time.
But then I realized it’s just that.!
The snes is zoomed or cropped
      Genesis is better

@@48hourrecordsteam45 it always depends on the game, and many Genesis games run still in the same resolution like the SNES' standard res - 256x224, but the Gen also has a 320 wide mode. The vertical resolution is still the same on both systems. It's worth to mention that the SNES has a 512x448 hi res mode as well, but it's barely used in only a couple of games.

Super Nintendo looks like the most faithful port of the game, but it lacks several frames of animation. Genesis/Mega Drive makes up for the animation and better gameplay.

Graphics are obviously better on the arcade but the game is really difficult and not much fun play. My favorite is the genesis version which plays better and it's a lot of fun with combos and easier special moves

    1. The sprites on the Mega Drive version looks quite good considering the limitations. Especially the colors.
    2. The animation cycles on the Mega Drive look similar to the Neo Geo.
    3. I do like your descriptions of each version. That's how you hype things up in the Rad 90's. "Monster Madness with the chaotic awesomeness that is Blast Processing! Watcha gonna do when King of the Monsters 2 runs all over you Brother!"

I'm conducting tests; if it's not liked, I'll remove it. If it's liked, I'll keep it.
