Sasha Torres on News Media and the War Against Terror

A talk, introduced by Edward Comor, given by Sasha Torres at a Faculty of Information and Media Studies (FIMS) panel held Oct. 24, 2007 (University of Western Ontario). In it, Torres addresses changes in U.S. political culture before and after 9/11. She explains how the war against terror has shaped her academic work. Among other points, she talks about her research on post-9/11 culture "as a discourse" using primetime television drama as an archive.
